If Risacher is available for the Spurs at 4, and both Dillingham and Topić are still untaken, then there is no need to make a decision between both guards with the 4th pick, you select Risacher which is still a team need and you will likely get the one guard who's still available with 8th pick. It's very unlikely that both Dillingham and Topić get selected (5th and 6th), (5th and 7th) or (6th and 7th). You check both your team needs in one draft class. Either of these two guards is perfect for the Spurs, one is not better than the other by a large margin, either will fit perfectly.

@@Eyescout222 he’s a better shooter than Champanie and a better defender than Champanie which is all the Spurs would ask him to do, and he can finish easily. If the Spurs gets to that situation and draft Topić or Dillingham at 4, they leave themselves with either both guards and they would fight for minutes or one of the guards and draft Holland, Buzelis, Cody Williams or Knecht which I don’t think fit better than Risacher or are even better than him. The other option is Stephon Castle at 8 but he would be a project offensively and I’m tired of waiting😂

Awesome. While i have been enjoying all the mock drafts the last few days. This one is the one I've been looking forward to. That said. As a spurs fan. I know a PG is needed. Reed, Dillingham, and Topic are the top 3. So it would make sense to use one of the picks for a PG and the other four a wing. But I love S. Castle and his defense.

Feel like this year's second round quality stands not far away from the first round. Mb it's just a weak class, but it looks like there is more of an upside swing on 1st rd guys than ever, while some older guys like Kevin McCullar, Ajay Mitchell, Harrison Ingram, Jamal Shead, Oso Ighodaro or Baylor Scheierman will be immediate contributors at the day 1, but not as shiny as prospects. I'm confident that they are better players than Cody Williams or Tidjane Salaun right now and I think we will see some raw prospects sliding down the board eventually.

I’d take Castle at 4 for the Spurs. If he doesn’t get nabbed by wizards at 2, they can prob cop topic at 8 as well. But yeah for me castle is BPA. That defense alone could do wonders on perimeter with Wemby locking down paint.

What would the Spurs do with Jones, Graham, Topic and Dillingham? I can see the Spurs drafting Risacher if they can with the 4th(they suck at 3P). The Spurs can actually survive a season more with Tre Jones. If they can't grab Risacher, they might go for Topic and make him back Jones up at first then slowly introduce him at the starting spot. At the 8th, they need a shooting wing with good, or at least passable D. If Buzelis is around, grab him. If not, Knecht can contribute right away. Holland is a defensive stud, bad shooter(hopefully can learn) and will.most probably be gone by 8th. So, Buzelis or Knecht.

castle can definitely run the 1 in san antonio, and makes more sense for them at 4 than dillingham imo, he gives them point of attack defender (which they desperately need) who can guard 1-3 and someone to facilitate the offense so everyone else doesn't have to pound the air out the ball to score (and they can stop looking off wemby)

This draft is so rangy depending on the player and what you believe as an organization. I feel if im teams i would just reach for fit because there is not a lot of elite talent but a good amount of players that can play. Like if I'm the Knicks at 24 and 25 and I assume those picks are gonna go further back if both Dallas and NY advance. I think if it stays pack the Knicks would drool if they see Kel'el Ware and Dillon Jones on the board. I think they pick both. Also hot take I think Zach Edey might be a late lottery or mid 1st round pick he really showed off at the combine and you can teach tall. He shows some Yao Ming and could have some good years if he takes care of his body well. Just expect him to flame out young because of all that weight he is carrying. That is why I think guys like Ware and Missi will have longer careers. Besides Clingan those two should go next. It is hard to find capable bigs this draft got a couple.

Ok, the 25th pick Pacome Dadiet, being a development project for the Knicks is a wrong move mainly because the Knicks do NOT develop players. I can go down the list, Porzingis, Know, Toppin, Ntlikina Gallinari and so on. If you don't pan out after 3-4 years you are gone, so the Knicks need a solid defend who can come in and produce on the defensive end for Thibs and hopefully you can see minutes and develop through playing time, a la Deuce Bridges.

I'm actually not worried abt the jump shot and I'm much more concerned that he won't finish at the rim efficiently.
