I think the spurs will trade one of those picks for a veteran player. This is an extremely weak draft. And with the way wemby had played, they could compete fir the playoffs next year if he had a high caliber shot maker on the perimeter to pair with wemby and nake life easier for him. I know they have vessel, but he is a bottom tier scorer. He can't go off and put up 30 on a given night and light someone up for 50 when he's cooking.

Im sure like most was not expecting the hawks to win the lottery at all. But I love Alex Sarr fit with the hawks think he will be one of the best rim protectors in the league out the gate making the hawks an average to barley above average defense. And Trae will spoon feed him easy looks at the rim while his offensive game develops. Now this might be too lofty of a comparison but Sarr reminds me a lot of Bam Adebayo to be honest.

Great video. I'm in the group of people that hate this draft, and think it's ceiling may be *slightly better* than the Oladipo draft (basically 1 star, couple All-Star level people, rest is pretty awful). Sure enough, it started getting a bit depressing to me after Pick 4, lol. I think teams as high up as the late lottery may be hoping for just a decent bench guy, and I suspect a lot of teams will have to stay put as the value for the picks won't be that high.

Can someone explain to me why a guy averaging 10 and 5 in the NBL is the number 1 pick? We've had undrafted free agent forwards come to the league and average 25 and 12 after a couple of years in junior college.

I see if Risacher does fall to 4 with the Spurs, idk if the next 3 picks go for a smaller guard like Dillingham. The Pistons have Cade and Ivey and need a wing. the Hornets Have Lamelo who is a big guard but really lacks defensively and also need shooting around him. The Trailblazers have Scoot and Anfernee Simons both smaller guards. Now obviously those teams can all pick off potential for the future, but I could see the Spurs getting Zaccharie and Rob depending on how the draft plays out.

This is not a draft that you should be packaging picks for 1 pick even if it was for number 1. I bet the wizards would not hesitate if Spurs offered 4 and 8 in exchange for 2. the difference in talent between 2nd and 8th is minimal. Gms are saying that in a normal draft Sarr who probabily will go number 1 will go 8th.

Spurs have to focus on a point guard. Unless you get a Trae Young trade you have to get the a PG like Dillingham that can score and can provide the lob to Wemby!

I wanted Dalton Knecht to the Spurs if we were picking 3-6, I didnt think that would be a reach. I am very high on him, and I believe he is the most polished player coming out of this draft at 23 yrs old, all he has to work on is his D, but he has the motor for it. I feel he is a top 3 talent in this draft! BUT after getting Toronto's pick I do not see Charlotte drafting him based on their needs and if he lands in the Spurs No8 spot its the steal of the lottery. He could very well be the best player in the draft.

Good luck, bad luck for the poor Hawks. To FINALLY get the first pick in the draft, BUT to get it in a draft where practically no one can confidently say which pick is the best choice. Ah well, one thing won't change. SOMEONE will pick early and get a dud, and SOMEONE (not necessarily someone else) will draft late (maybe even in the later rounds) nd get a stud. I think 💭 PORTLAND WOULD BE CRAZY to take Stephon Castle at no. 7 over Donovan Klingan of UConn. They are crowded at guard and small forward: Shardon Sharpe, Anfernee Simons, Scoot Henderson. Klingan can give you someone who PUSHES DeAndre Ayton in practice....and I think he will eventually take his starting spot due to hunger/impact.

@@maxjulianthegreat313 my logic is they haven’t had good luck with the bouncing ball so spending some money in some free agents to help move this thing forward instead of relying only on the draft is a good idea. Fed Van Fleet helped Houston jump forward, but the magic have done it just with drafting. The hit that 1 pick and did very well with later picks, so regardless of where you pick there are players that can help, but spending money on a young all star coming into their prime would be nice. I guess the question is who? Not a lot of players like that floating around. Miles might be an option. Certainly buy low time right now for a potential 25 PPG guy
