2024 Netherlands: Amersfoort

Amersfoort is a well-preserved medieval city in the province of Utrecht. East of Amsterdam, it is built into the foundations of 13th-century defensive walls during which its main industries were cloth and beer.

It's okay, we can't see everything. Amersfoort wasn't in our itinerary and haven't heard of it. We just finished early in Utrecht and looked for another destination close by on Google Map. Amersfoort looked interesting. The clock on the square didn't show up on my search on Amersfoort top attractions. We would surely have took the time to see it had I known about it. We stayed the whole week in the Netherlands and we're very happy on the variety of what we saw. Excellent public transportation everywhere. We based ourselves in Den Haag because it was a little cheaper than Amsterdam.
