Seeing what other NHL GMs overpaid for players at free agency, id say Armstrong did well

You forgot Bolduc. People are really sleeping on him. He could crack the middle 6. But a B+ is certainly fair.

Definitely improved team depth and overall speed. Advanced the team rebuild by two years with offer sheets. I'd say a B+ is a good score for off season moves

You forgot Bolduc and Dvorsky is really making a push to make the team this year he actually might be on the big club this year. Snuggerud will be available at the end of the season after school is over when a playoff push is happening

Just to add this team is in a holding pattern while some kids develop and some contracts expire.

Blues have a lot of underrated players, before the off-season, with guys like Buch, Thom, Sadd, Neigh, Toropch, Falk, Binningt, etc. Really underdog bunch. Then they brought in some more underrated players - Faks, Texie, Josph bros, even Hollowy/Brobs. They could surprise this yr & sneak in as a WC; Blues would have to get off to a very good start & hope that a couple of - Wpg, Min in Cent (or VGk, LAk, etc in Pac) get off to a slow start

Army will be the President of Hockey operations for the Blues. Glad he is sticking around and still Help Steen. We are in Good hands. Plus we have all these drafted 1st Rd Picks that will develop. Then there is our Stanley Cup winning Goaltender Binnington who can be Outstanding and a very Good Young Goaltender behind him. Unfortunately, it looks like Krug is done so it opens up 6.5 million in Cap Space. Blues will be fun to watch.

I agree we were pretty fortunate with injuries if parayko or Thomas go down for long periods that will be rough for us but B+ is fair kessel bolduc and even dvorsky will push for playing time I hope kessel and bolduc will start the season within top 6 and top 9

I find myself almost excited about the coming hockey season for the first time since 2020--but I've been blacked out from watching my Blues since Bally took over broadcasting rights from FSMW. Nothing in the last decade, apart from politics and COVID shenanigans, has made me more angry than being blocked from watching the only team I follow in the only sport I care about. I don't blame the team, but they don't seem to be interested in finding a solution.

B+ for Doug Armstrong and the Blues seem fair to me. Prior to offer-sheeting Broberg, I heard that the Blues were interested in Mackenzie Weegar. Do you think they're still in the hunt for him? He's a solid RHD who scored 20 goals last season. Seems like he'd be a great addition to the Blues backline. What do you think? - Great job, and love your videos!

@mannyoliveira776 Perunovich is a left shot, natural left sided D. I feel the opposite of what you do. Lol We have lots of left D depth. Including Tucker. Kessel is out 3rd right D and I feel like we could use another righty.

Unbelievable depth Army has acquired this off-season. I do believe that Mathew Kessel will start the season on the 3rd pair. It should be his job to lose

Mixed bag, I don’t see the benefit of kapanen or suter. Otherwise I think he did a god job of bringing in young players to audition for roles. Also some great “addition by subtraction” Neighbors shot 18% last year, he is way too hyped up, his scoring will fall off. It’s a shame Krug is hurt but this is obviously not a new thing. He made it clear last year he cannot play to the level of an nhl player anymore. Hopefully he comes back great but in the short term this is also addition by subtraction. I give army an A- for this offseason. Only losing for some of the silly moves like Suter.

Neighbours shot 18% because 20 of his 27 goals came from the dirty areas in front of goal. He taps in plenty of rebounds.

@@mokumboi19 I don’t understand why most people don’t understand this. His shooting percentage is high because a majority of his shots are from high danger areas. Is he a 30 goal scorer? Idk, but if he plays top 6 he will hopefully get around 20-25 goals.

Mike that was weak. No mention of Dalibor Divorsky , Bolduc, Zac Dean. All could make the team and push trades of Saad, Leddy, Or possibly Schenn who plays way older then he is. Why we kept him over O'reilly is a mystery for Scooby Doo!!

Get rid of a perennial 20+ goal scorer that can fill a 3rd line role. What a stupid take. His 4.5 mil cap hit is right in line for a middle 6, 3rd line producer.
