But when is the electric Murano CrossCabriolet coming, though? 😩
@josht717
@josht717 25 күн бұрын
People made so much fun of the CrossCabriolet, but I would literally buy an updated electric version without any hesitation. An electric convertible that can carry people and cargo?! Hell yeah! Too many manufacturers these days are afraid to bring unique products to market and it shows. We're left with the choice of 150 different hulking 2-box design crossovers with huge wheels and touch-capacitive buttons everywhere. Blech.

@@zackdirusso3391 they do talk about it a lot, but it's only a US problem. EVs are not popular there so they hold no value. In Europe and other markets EVs barely lose any value at all. 2023 Ariya with 10k km costs about the same as a new one straight from the dealer in Europe.

What sets this apart with the competitors at the price point is normal door handles, rear wiper, button to close and lock the hatch and a sunroof that opens while having good horsepower and range. The GM EV’s qualify for the tax credit and this doesn’t so that’s the issue with this, the price. Around me I’m seeing a lot of Ioniq 5s in the trim and color I want, whereas there are fewer Ariyas. The Ioniq 5s can be had with the $7500 off to make up for the lack of tax credit and I’m not seeing this for the Ariya. So it’s a great car, with mediocre charging specs, that is hurt competitively by it’s price. I’m not a fan of the motorized center console as it’s slow and the motor takes up storage space.

When I test drove the Ariya a couple months back genuinely I was not too fond of it. I found that the infotainement, specifically the in-built navigation was very iffy and not refined and how when using the screen it did not feel like you were genuinely tapping the screen but the layer of either glass or plastic that they put above the panel. There was a visible gap between where you finger touched and the screen behind. I was wondering if you noticed that as well? Another thing is how I found those touch buttons. I found them to be somewhat cheap looking with that faux-wood style panel that they are integrated within. The buttons also looked oddly large (?) I like large, easy-to-press buttons, but these ones...One thing I will say is that Nissan tends to do their seats pretty well, they were comfortable--more plush instead of sporty. While speaking of the buttons, the touch buttons on the center console are not my favorite. Another thing is, piano black window switches--the last place piano black should ever be, haha. One minor gripe I also have is that start-stop button, it looks very out of place and tacky. It just looks pasted there without any true effort into integrating it into the design of the dash. Another thing is that the front end of this car is beautifully done, it looks amazing, yet the rear...looks forgotten and just ugly. One thing I found odd is that when the car was in its 'one-pedal drive' mode its not truly one-pedal. The car slows to ~3-5 MPH but then it just rolls. I never got why Nissan did that. Now these are all comparisons I made to my Ioniq 5, which also has its own issues, but it is (in my opinion) a much better experience overall to drive. Finally, at 14:53 I also noticed that when driving, it was a weird feeling, especially seeing how my i5 does not suffer from that even with the cars being somewhat similar weights (the i5 being ~200-300 lbs lighter according to google). It was great to hear another persons thoughts on this car, while driving on somewhat local roads to me.

For me the suspension needs work still spirited driving, you feel the roll and undulation on uneven roads typical of U.K. , and backwater road ny state I still feel magnet damper s where you can alter the rebound should greatly improve quality , the haptic sensors, still need work, anyone with nerve damage has issues with it and doesn’t always sense presses , my drive I ended up using touch gloves , that’s no fun in 30+c and I agree the one Pendle driving needs more work , I kind of wish for a 1, 2 ,3 b , I also agree with the indicator stalk issue ,

I still stand by the thought the Ariyas interior was designed to be looked at in a showroom and not actually bought and used. Sure it looks pretty but looks pretty horrible to actually live with with all the gimmicks. This feels like something Nissan made to go “hey look we can make modern evs!” But not to actually sell cars. The leaf was made to be sold. I don’t see why anyone would buy this outside of a too short test drive

Does the Ariya have a heat pump? My Audi Q4 e-tron does and I do admit my older A3 Sportback which has a normal AC system seem to be stronger. I wonder if heat pumps due to their due use nature of being both cooling & heating have less cooling capability than a standard straight air condition system.

It is ugly, however is much more attractive than a Tesla. Only pre-owned, seriously depreciated Ariya could be a buy since the car is very overpriced. It doesn't DC charge as fast as competition but has a flat charging curve. Materials are nice inside. The air conditioning is not as strong as in competition. In South that is an issue. Missing one pedal driving can be considered a minus for some but heat pump standard is nice
