@@markm49 I had the pre-facelift model with the mild hybrid CVT, and it was a great car with a smooth transmission. The 158hp is solid, and with the mild hybrid battery assisting during startups, it feels fantastic. You do need to get used to anticipating stops better to take full advantage of the advanced stop-start system, which can shut off the engine as low as 11 mph and seamlessly restart when you're ready to go. It’s a proper start-stop system with no noticeable lag. I’m sure you’ll be happy with it!

The dark green Ocean Deep is the best, really nice. Gun Metal another. I think the bright colours don't work well with the Joker front. Mind you pics can distort it & in the flesh quite different.

Hi Riaj, great videos. Does the Power tanka come with mudguards now, as I see the one you showed still to have its PDI looked like it had mudguards installed? Thought you had to get the protection pack for that?

@@jamaz1973 Great question! The protection pack includes a trunk liner, mats, and front and rear mudguards (the mudguards go behind the tires, if that helps clarify). You're right-the Tekna in the video, which doesn't have the alloy inserts, had just come off the transporter and hadn't been prepped yet.

@@pijjintvhd9872 Yes, the majority are taped on. For certain models, we do require drilling, but the Qashqai’s tailgate generally holds up well with the tape we use, and we haven’t encountered any issues.

I just got my new 2024 Qashqai (the pre-facelift) a couple of days ago and I was super excited and happy until I saw your video... 😅 I've always thought that the car really could benefit from a better ambient light than the white very subtle one found in the old one and they addressed this now. 😔 Do you think I should have waited for the facelift to arrive her in Egypt knowing that it can take up to 6 months (and might get a price increase) or there's not that much differences and I made the right decision to buy the pre-facelift now? I got the Tekna the highest available trim in Egypt

In my opinion, there are sufficient changes to justify the price increase on every trim level. However, as you mentioned regarding geographic differences, Nissan USA has introduced an impressive facelifted X-Trail (Rogue) with all the tech we discussed in the video. Unfortunately, the UK market is not receiving this update for the X-Trail. Another is that we used to have the Navara in the UK, which was a great seller, but we sold our last one over four years ago. So, I suggest you enjoy your car to the fullest, and I hope you have many worry-free miles with it.

They've already done next year's face lift. It's actually better than this one. This yearly event is making your new car in 12 months yesterday's car. It's not a good feeling & you are just feeling that. It's not good for brand loyalty is it, every year is wrong.

I did regret not showing that feature in the last video, but I'm hoping to have an after-dark video up soon where I will be answering that exact question! ... and more ambient lighting.. 💡😊 P.S. Yes, Google built-in appears on the HUD. I'm not sure about connected devices mapping, but we will find out together.

Hello! Is that true that lately Nissan changed Tekna trim and it's not longer contains chrome/satin strips on the bottom of the doors? So it's look more like N-connecta or Accenta trim.

I ordered my Acenta Premium Gun Metal on Tues and will get it next Tues. I had wanted Ocean Deep colour but would have a 4 month wait, that's ridiculous but seems to be the trend with waits up to a year on ordinary road cars. This 2023 design front worked well on all colours, but the 2024 Joker front works only on the dark k colours, as bright colours just fight against it & 2025 its changing AGAIN! It makes you feel after 12 months that you are driving yesterday's car which is a bit too soon. Not a good feeling to have in brand loyalty. What do you think?.

@@seltaeb9691 🎉 Congratulations on your order! I hope you enjoy it! I haven’t heard about a 2025 update yet. The 2023 Qashqais are holding their value really well. Many of my clients with earlier versions featuring smaller screens didn't feel the need to upgrade, but with the new 2024 facelift, they have decided to order and are beginning to take delivery of the latest model. Financially, it made sense for them. I haven't heard anything about a 2025 update, and I don't believe we'll see a redesign anytime soon.

Iv got the tekna plus . Nice car but had geofencing so the government can take control of how fast you can travel and how far out you can go in distance if they want . Which will go with there 15 min city plans . It also has going over the speed ping which you can’t permanently turn off and the thing that pulls you back in lane which nearly causes crashes on side streets when you have to drive down the middle of the road because of parked cars and wants to move you into them and your can’t disable the feature permanently so keeps coming back on which is unsafe

The lane assist might be ok for the motorways but on little side streets it’s unsafe as you have cars parked at the sides of the roads and you have to drive down the centre . Which the lane assist wants to move you back over into the cars . Not just on Nissans on most new cars

Thank you for your feedback! The engine options are indeed tailored to fit the markets where the vehicles are sold. For instance, this Qashqai is designed and built in the UK, and when it’s shipped to other countries, it often comes with territory-specific changes to the drivetrain and specifications. Nissan recently announced the new Patrol (check it out here: kzbin.infooX_EM-ABH5k?si=Hh58XGFl_wscy1JM&t=2688), which I would have loved to feature on the channel. However, with its 3.5-liter V6 turbo petrol engine, would it sell in the volumes Nissan would hope for in the UK? Like you mentioned, the Patrol is better suited for markets where its increased ride height, massive torquey engine, AWD system, and even the underfloor sealing are more in demand. Plus, there are the fines manufacturers face in Europe and the UK for selling CO2-emitting vehicles. I really believe the 1.3 and 1.5 e-Power options offer reliable, practical drivetrain choices for their target markets, but I have to admit, I'm still a bit jealous of the new 2025 Patrol!
