I’m only on point #2 but I can tell you I agree 100000% with you, minimalism and all white houses give me empty feelings. Vintage rich designs speak more about you and give more of a home feel to your space!

I love your style both for fashion and home. You are doing it right. Your home style is actually "TIMELESS" and "eclectic". Some people enjoy completely replacing all their furniture every ten years for the newest modern trend. Nothing wrong with that, but I prefer choosing timeless pieces so I only need to update some pieces such as pillows curtains etc. The most heavily used items like sofas, might need to be replaced (or reupholstered). If you surround yourself with well-crafted timeless furniture, your will enjoy it for your lifetime and can pass it on (like your family has done). I understand it is not always possible but spend your money on pieces that retain (or gain) value whenever you can. Just like you do with hand bags and jewelry. For a truly comfortable high or mid heel shoe option...try the Fendi Colibri line! No kidding. Wow. They are not your typical looking pump but do come in many color/fabric/leather options including sequin and rhinestones. I tried them and ended up with two pairs.

I completely agree with you! I’m sure the sofas, the bed, even the table and curtains/rugs are things that I will end up changing with time to also adapt to my life (if we have more pets or kids) but some other pieces I see how they have been in my family for such a long time and I adore them that I just see myself adding more that will come with me no matter if I move because they are timless 🤍

Your taste in furnishing is NOT old fashioned. It's classic, elegant and upper class. You do mix a bit of modern like the Roche Bobois couch with antique which I love. It's inspiring for me.

Yes to a video of what you sold and why. As to getting a Bottega bag, yes! I loooove my mini Jodie. The next size up would be good too. They come in so many colors and finishes. As to your apartment looking like old lady decorating: absolutely not! You have great eclectic style. I am certain your place looks better than your friends places. Shhh. Don’t tell them I said so. I love your home style! Not granny at all, it's a lovely mix of modern and old. We have a rule, when we're buying something new - we have to know where its going in our house. Our style is mainly mid centuary modern, but we have a few inherited pieces thrown into the mix, and I love the mix of styles. We love lamps, but we've pretty much run out of places to put them, so if we spot something new, then it'll almost certainly mean getting rid of one we already have.

I get the same comments too but I love old victorian vibes, I love dark colors and golds... I have always been into everything different but since I was about 17 I been called an old lady. It doesn't help that my name is Carolyn. lol It was such a treat when you shared your family home. Ask my husband I watched it 7 times. lol just so I can peep everything in the background. I love history ugh! I LOVE IT I just got a Jodie the big and the small size. It's still not here yet so lets see because I was skeptical 🫤 I have been trying to part with my old bags but my husband always convinces me to save them for our daughters (we have 4 girls 2 boys) which he has been correct so far.... My daughters wear some of my vintage LV pieces and they look so cute! but it is hard ....I too am jealous too of my best friend she wears heels so much! I am starting to do foot techniques to help because I have so many manolos that just collecting dust!!

for shoes, you should consider heels with a platform. you might not love the look, but its so much more comfortable. wedges are also very comfortable. i am also very picky with foot comfort and i refused to wear heels without a platform

in my humble opinion, if you like and comfortable with those 3 brands, just stick to that. I'm also like you, I wanna venture into other brands. but at the end of the day, I would just adore them from afar. and I hate the try and error phase. I'm at the stage of my life where if I really like one brand, I will be loyal 😅 I wanna utilise the bags that I have now and create memories for many years to come!
