I'm a SC State grad and I've watched U.S. Secretary of Defense Austin at SCSU, President Biden at The House online, I attended Spelman's commencement with Angela Bassett and Judge Brown-Jackson, but this was the #1 speech by far. My dad got his masters from CAU (Atlanta U), been to many homecomings back in the day, I will always have this school in my heart.

Dr. Black was one of my teachers at CAU my freshman year in 1996. His class was one of my favorites. I still remember to this day the lessons he taught me.

👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 you better tell it Dr. Black. Still to this day he’s by far my absolute favorite professor in all of my higher education. I took 3 of his courses, and every class was inspiring as he sowed seeds of knowledge beyond the course.

Proud CAU alumna over here c/o '03!!!! Dr. Black's commencement speech was E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G. I love my ppl :) One of the main reasons I went to CAU it was in ATL, they have my major and they can confer 3 degrees lol (iykyk). Plus HBCUs will always and continue to be the #1 supporter/advocate and best hype "person" for future black students and college graduates matriculating themselves to prepare to concur this world. I knew I would never get that at a PWI.. LOVE LOVE MY CAU "I'LL FIND A WAY OR MAKE ONE"
