Thanks for the owner/designer/origin stories Ben. It adds a great deal to my appreciation of the trees.

It's my favorite tree in the whole show. Should have gotten the Large Category but what do I know. I just like it =)

Pomegranet grows well in western WA too! I have at least 4 trees, just not done as Bonsai.

I have a seed grown tree from seed about 9yrs now. It's wonky but maybe bonsai it one of these days.

@@benbseattle That would be fun to see! I've been twisting the trunk of a smoke tree I started from seed to see what I can create from it one day.

Mike’s oak tree is amazing, but styling choice is so confusing. He recognizes how good oak bark and trunks are, but went with a dense dome canopy he says he doesn’t like doing which hides it. I hope he can reconsider it but I wouldn’t blame him for not wanting to change it either!

it's also maybe the height of the display table. It could be a bit higher to get the eye level to the middle of the tree. It's also a lot bigger than it looks on camera. Very awesome tree. Bark looks amazing for a coast.
