2024 Paddle Fast - Make It Count

The 2024 Amie Begg Memorial Paddle Fast has been my favorite yet. We enjoyed an entire weekend of Wilson Creek Overload! Staying in the Lost Cove Cabin within the Brown Mountain Beach Resort gave us the perfect launch pad for a perfect weekend. Several first timer go fasters as well as many seasoned veterans all sent their fastest lap of the Wilson Creek Gorge. It is paddle fast time! Make it Count!

Another great video Pete! Last year's video introduced me to Brown Mountain Beach Resort, and now it's an annual anniversary visit for my wife and I. It was good to see OG Justin again! We ran into him at the Apple Harvest Fest in Winston-Salem this past fall. The kayaking world is small in NC!

Yes! The entire pisgah national forest is open to backcountry camping with the exception of right along the gorge as there is a 200' camping buffer due to being wild and scenic. TONS of great camping in the area.
