What a great gift to us fans - two seasoned Pats veterans who know Patriots culture inside and out, sharing their heartfelt thoughts and feelings about stuff they understand better than almost anybody on the planet! One of the really cool things about this podcast is that, while David and Brian are sharing a lot of terms and concepts that are familiar to them but not to me, at any time I can pause the video and Google what they're referring to - I feel that I'm learning a lot about about NFL practices, strategies and tactics, as well as Pats culture and traditions past, present and (hopefully) future. David and Brian - it is so fantastic listening to a quarterback and center discussing not just team culture and dynamics, but the two halves of offensive phllosphy. You guys really get each other, and I'm never bothered if/when either of you interrupt each other - it's like listening to the two halves of one brain talking to each other. I don't think I've ever enjoyed listening to "sports talk" more than this! Keep on doing!!!

I've got to respectfully disagree with Hoyer's incredibly foolish/pedestrian take on the "quality of players" today vs his time - at the 41:25 mark. To say players today simply don't have the "bandwidth" is blarantly false and a result of this strawman narritave that "the younger generation is just lazy or intellectually incapable". I would challenge Brian Hoyer to reveal who that OC was because there's plenty of factors that can go into why someone's checking out 15 minutes into a meeting. Maybe the OC sucks.. maybe he only knows 1 way to teach something. He literally says it himself that you have to adapt. that doesn't just go for players - that goes for coaches as well, it doesn't matter if you taught something the same way for 10 decades - if your students in the 11th decade don't pick up what you're putting down - then that doesn't always suggest that there's something wrong with the students. It's just your method of teaching is archaic. Hoyers rhetoric suggests that this is a new phenomenon that's only applicable to today's generation as if there weren't guys literally checking out of meetings not even 3 seconds into it back in the 60's-90's.. this foolish old head rhetoric always comes from the older guys. And it's a Very lazy analysis of the younger generation. From the older "veterans" that should know better.
