Interesting following your reroute choice. I followed Hiking Dancer and Boss Bae, Birdcall as they hiked this area. All three of you went different ways. Also googled about Holden Village and their background, philosophy. Kind of a cool concept. Hike on !

None of them followed the official re-routes, and they all seemed a little impulsive in their choice in routes. HikingDancer took really big road walks. Then she started skipping sections and had to go back in fill those sections in later. Travelwritepaint, they did the best to keep their footpath continuous, but they took bigger re-routes then necessary. On the Mount Adams re-route they hiked all the way to Northwoods to do a resupply. That was way outside the official re-route. Then when they did this section, they followed the official re-route for the most part, but when they got to Cloudy Pass, instead of going over that and getting back on the PCT Red Line they decided to go the opposite direction to Holden and then hike to Stehekin from there. I'm not sure what they hoped to accomplish with that, but it was a very spectacular route. Now Lil’Chap and his partners decided to bushwhack all the way down to Lucerne and then hike back up to Holden and back to the PCT going the opposite direction that Travelwritepaint went. That probably added an extra day to their trip. But it's nice to see all these trails and we wouldn't otherwise get to see on KZbin.
