Your poppy tee looks so good. I love the Dusty Yarn Co skeins you showed. I just ordered the same color on the same base! So excited 🎉

The tweedy yarn is amazing. I am just swatching for a jumper with some confetti yarn from la bien aimée which is a similar yarn in that it uses recycled threads, but the lilac base looks really beautiful. Excited to see what designs you come up with.

I have heard this shoulder construction referred to as "English tailoring." CocoKnits uses it a lot also. You can tell the difference from the similar "contiguous set-in sleeve" method (which PetiteKnit uses in a some of her garments too, like the Eva and April cardigans and Terrazzo sweater) by where the shoulder seam sits. With English tailoring it sits on the back, while with contiguous set-in it sits along the top of the shoulder.

This is great to know. I’m currently working on both the April cardigan and the poppy tee from PK. I see what you mean! I think the poppy tee’s seam does sit on the back.

Yes, makes sense!

The Eva has the seam on the back as well, same as Poppy. I think the Lyon patterns are also the same. I have only made the Eva (3 times now) and for me the fit is perfection for an oversized boxy cardigan.

@@oldwitchknits-Ursula That's true, there is an increase line in the Eva that sits on the back. Eva has the little strip/min-saddle to start with though, which I don't think the Poppy tee has. Correct me if I'm wrong please, I don't have the Poppy tee pattern (yet).

@@juliao9146 I also don't have the poppy pattern but the pictures look exactly the same. The Eva has no saddle of any sort. You start with the stitches at the back of the neck and then increase out to the sides but not for very long. Then you pick up the two front shoulders. Again not many rows. Then you pick up along the sides of the back and the front for the top of the shoulder/sleeve. I really enjoy this construction.

I would be interested in a comparison video between Line and Drops Belle. I've heard they are so similar to knit with. Just a thought. I'm using Belle now for a tee but haven't tried Line.

Great idea! I haven’t tried drops belle, but I might have to pick some up!

Love the yarn for your tank design. Why not call it the "California or Cali Tee"?😊
