Thanks for another great video Jesse - another difference is that the VR1 has carbon fiber over structure… interested in knowing what/why that is

I have 2021 xc 850 I was wondering about 100 pound spring for the front of my sled. Would I have to re valve them. Also do you happen to know the Polaris part number. Thanks so much videos are great keep up the good work.
@JESSEJAMES322 Жыл бұрын
You would not “need” to revalve them but we do recommend re valving the shocks to get the best ultimate ride. I do not have the part number off the top of my head but give south side sales in north adams mass a call and they can get you all set up.

So, are the Velocity shocks just slightly better than the Fox shocks for aggressive trail riding? After watching the video, it seems like the Velocity shocks are not that big of a deal. Maybe a litter more adjustable, but what does that really matter for the average trail rider? Thoughts?
@JESSEJAMES32210 ай бұрын
they are more adjustable. Many of them have a bigger body and bigger shaft so a little stronger. but the fox is a great shock. for average trail rider these will be great. and can always valve them down the road

Hi Jesse! I just purchased a leftover 650 23 adventure from my local dealer. I love all your videos and will definitely come see you when it’s time for a rebuild. Hygear kit may be in order! In the meantime I’m 240 without gear and am a semi aggressive rider. Would be curious on what clicker setting on the fox and if you think HD or trap for me? Thanks!
@JESSEJAMES3229 ай бұрын
Congrats on the new sled. The adventures should come with HD ( i believe) Hygear kit is great but need to get the shocks valved when you do it!
@Snowrider6509 ай бұрын
@@JESSEJAMES322 thank you! Pumped. I believe only the x2 comes with the trap in 2023, but regular adventure comes with stock spring. I will confirm before ordering, but I’m guessing you recommend the HD over trap for me if I do have to upgrade? Yes Hygear at first rebuild!

Hey Jesse I got a question about belt defection on my 2023 Vr1 boost. Do you have to adjust it.? Mine came with adjustment screw in secondary but my buddy got a 23 assault boost and it came with no adjustment screw. Not sure why they be different. When we got them last season his was in a couple months before mine so thinking may have changed something up.
@JESSEJAMES322 Жыл бұрын
some had adjustment bolts put in and some did not. 23 Boost sleds had a Creep issue because the belt was too wide for the primary clutch. so some dealers added a deflection bolt to loosen the belt tension (not the right thing to do). so you can loosen or take your bolt right out. hope that makes sense

Guys, just picked up a 129 850 xc. Im 5'6 190 and pretty aggressive. Id love to get to the best set up as quickly as possible. Its got a 1.35 cobra. Im gonna run two picks per lug per you recommendation. Im starting with 6 inches of carbide up front. Im going 2 inch rsi riser and heavy duty rear springs probably set on the lightest setting. I usually set the coupling blocks to keep the front end on the ground. Im also adding a set of floods. Anything other recommendations or settings a starting point? I truly appreciate your videos and insights. Great job!
@JESSEJAMES322 Жыл бұрын
Congrats on the new sled. I would like to see you run a set of 100 pound front springs. They make a huge difference with sled attitude and keeping the front up from dropping. Also if you wanna keep the front end on the ground I recommend pulling (shortening the limiter strap) shoot me a message on Facebook with any questions. That’s the easiest place to talk with me! Bit happy to help either way!
@matthewmantelli8929 Жыл бұрын
Thank you. I used to pull the limiter in on all of my old school sleds, but I haven't needed to do it on anything newer. It will definitely be on my mind. Never done front springs. I'll keep that in mind as well.

So that sled has the HD spring but depending on how big you are you may need more. We highly recommend revalving your suspension also. Easiest way to talk to me about what is needed is Facebook. Shoot me a message

So I went to snowcheck an Indy because I wanted a 129. I was told by multiple dealerships that you can’t get an Indy with the 7S from the factory, you’d have to buy it after . Was that true? I ended getting a 23 VR1-1 that was a snowcheck some one walked away from. I got it during the 24 snowcheck so I got it with the 3 year warranty. Is the walker Evans a noticeable better ride than the Fox? Also my 2010 Rush did not have the nicer gauge , that multi colored fat number gauge came in 2015 Axyss I believe, my 2015 Pro S. Thanks
