As a VW fan and a vivo driver, the pricing of this one is ridiculous. Starlet is about R289K manual and comes with almost everything. R346K you get 2 airbags. The fact that you have to pay extra for PDC sensors where as Baleno lower spec comes with sensors at R226k.

We went over 900km on one tank on our 2019 GT. We bought it for 260k then in 2019. It never gave us any problems so far and I am glad we got a polo. Sometimes cheap is expensive.

For the first time in my life I saw a Vivo Mswenko... Yeah, another Vivo with with some stickers, I saw one on Tiktok, a dealer had a "special" model, they basically took a trendline, added black wheels, door handles, and some other bits and bobs from the black style and then added JBL woofer, plus some "GTS" stickers

Thanx for a very honest review with such accurate feedback. Yes, this car is definitely overpriced and not specced well enough. Trying to buy one now, but VW doesn't even offer proper discount. But still i just love this "old" Polo. Driven properly, it's very light on fuel and the drive itself is fantastic. Yes sure, a Havalo Jolion is muuuch better specced, but show me one person that's complimenting it's fuel economy.... And remeber, there's NO service plan included in the Vivo's price ! But if you're a VW guy, you'll probably look past all this car's flaws and go with your gut and buy it..

I chose the polo 6c 1.2 tsi over the polo vivo GT. More spec and over R100 000 difference in price. I just wish it came with a carplay radio for a modern infotainment experience

CarPlay can be retrofitted or simply downloaded on your car it’s software after all

VW is taking us for a “Ride”, when it comes to pricing. Whats even worse is that you have to pay extra fir things that come standard on other cars or their competitors cars. Come on guys VW is taking advantage that South Africans are loyal and a big fans of the brand.

Great Car but the price is a no no no for me & i can get a 2019 POLO GTI second hand with less than 50k KM on the clock for that amount....even a a GOLF 7.5 second hand with a service history for that amount.

Got my GT in November, I looked and looked for one that comes with LED Headlights be it as standard or additional extras but no luck 😢

What I like about your reviews bro is the honesty in your opinions, if that really makes sense. But yeah VW generally loves to milk the market longer they can - this polo shape has been around since late 2012 😩

Pricing are increasing on the 1st February, mind that the prices were also increased by 1st December last year, Polo Vivo GT is about to get expensive 😢😢. Also other competitions has electric rear/front windows

It's 2024 and people are still surprised with the pricing of VW vehicles..It's ridiculous and even dealerships asking price for a 2nd hand polo with over 100k is insanely high..Great review tho👌

For that price tag you can just get yourself in a fairly used Haval Jolion 1.5 Luxury. A much bigger car which is more practical and advanced than the polo gt 😂 and this is sad because there are so many people who don't do proper diligence on car prices. You might find out that you'd have bought a much bigger car for that price of a much smaller car such as the polo unless it's preference related.

R355k for a vivo GT thats ridiculous. S.A had lost their plot the economy is killing the lower incomes if you earn R15k after deductions dont bother buying a car.

One thing we need to understand about VW is that is still a German though it's a bit cheaper than 3 brands VW it's never cheap and it will never be cheap but we are still buying it that's why you will still see them on road

amazing car, can anyone tell me how come the Polo Vivo Trendline 1.4 produce 55Kw and the Comfortline with the same 1.4 engine produce 63 Kw... how is it that same engine produce different power output??

Yes it’s possible. Internals are slightly changed or detuned for the vehicles

If you wanna buy a Vivo - Leave the GT buy the Vivo 1.4 Comfortline. All you do is add the 16" wheels, take it in Blue and rather spend your money on a maintance plan and your done.

This car is worth it. We've had the pre face-lift since 2019, and it's amazing, but I wouldn't recommend you spend more than R300K for it👊

VW is pricing themselves out of the market. They shouldn't be suprised that Toyota and Suzuki beat them in terms of total units sold. Next they be sitting with their mouth open watching the Chinese brands take over their market share. The worst part is that VW quality was reduced. Not improved. We get cheap feeling cars that are overpriced. Just ridiculous. The Asian manufacturers will end up embarrassing the Germans. Not gonna lie. Anyway. The review was good. If it wasn't for the price. You'd have me convinced to purchase this vehicle as a daily.

I am a vw fan so dont kill me, but steering is heavy,bcz of the springs and suspension sporty, i wouldnt buy it for more than R300 i have the prefacelift bought it 2500Km for R265K, if you love and enjoy driving and your broke its good ,the power is toxic....but R350k is BIG NO,look at something else,but i wouldn't change it for the world,,the i20,renault not for me

Rather buy a Polo TSI 1.2 Highline. This Polo Vivo GT is too expensive with the discomfort that is experienced on the adjustment of side mirrors and rear windows
