For a grown ass adult man to say that he did not vote because he’s not politically astute, yet continues to talk about politics on every single podcast he’s on is just confounding and utterly stupid. Gary had plenty of time to do the research… On anything. On the candidates with their policies are what they stand for in terms of healthcare, climate change, the border, the economy,. It’s embarrassing to be someone that’s almost 50 years old and not Vote. It just boils down to laziness.

I’m giving myself a timeout from Gary and his content. He disappoints me because although he has dated almost exclusively Black women, he married a Black woman, has a biracial daughter, has had numerous affairs with Black women and now has two toddlers with a Black/biracial-appearing partner, he could not take a moment or two to acquaint and acquit himself about a Black woman running for President. Gary got the Black card early in life. He has been welcomed at the cookouts. Gary is undeniably Black famous. I just expected more from him than voter apathy, especially when so much of this election would adversely affect Black women, Black men and Black children. We are the demographic that has been steadfast in supporting him throughout his career. When White Hollywood didn’t push him, we did. While Netflix brazenly ignores and rebuffs him, we still rock with him at comedy shows, concerts and here on KZbin. We have had his back as one of our own. I can’t disown him. However, I can choose to distance myself from him for a time as I focus my energies, time, money and sympathies on those who would choose a presidential candidate who would uplift, support and work to make sure that my disenfranchised people would get equal access to the American Dream. But my white niece and nephew, not only know how to write and read at an eighth grade level when they are the same age they can also speak to different languages.
