Of course... the fur baby not only has to get in the way of making the bed... but has to clean "unmentionables" on the clean sheets in the process. Gotta love em.

Awww, of course we get a couple of cat cameos because it’s clean sheet day! 😂 also, yay new reading journal video ❤🎉 my reading goal is 140 as it has been for the last several years (last year I read 208 books bc I was on medical leave for a couple months so that’s not a realistic goal 😅) 📚 I have a list of 24 books off my TBR that have been hanging around for a couple of years that I want to get to this year (I did a 23 in 2023 that I read about half of so kind of helpful lol). And I also have fun challenges like the Heaving Bosoms Reading Embrace, Pop Sugar, BN, etc.
@PlantBasedBride10 ай бұрын
Haha they never fail to wake up from their naps to help me make the bed 😂 Oo nice, that’s a solid goal! Did you find yourself mood reading a lot or following along with TBRs and challenges?
@balletbookworm10 ай бұрын
I mood read enough that most challenge categories are covered - sometimes I do have to go looking for something (the Ripped Bodice summer Bingo always has a few categories that I have to go find a book for if I attempt blackout), the Popsugar one is really complicated this year because many prompts are oriented around "24" in some way and I may not feel like "mathing" for many of those @@PlantBasedBride

I joined a few book clubs to get back into fiction this year. I was a voracious reader all my life until i discovered iPad, KZbin and crafting. I find fiction boring - ! I read a lot of non-fiction. I journal and am a stationary enthusiast, so the idea of a book journal sparked some interest! I read two books (fiction) this weekend, and have a list of classics to start reading to hopefully reignite my passion for reading fiction. My goal then : start a book journal, read at least two books a week - one fiction and one non-fiction. 🤞🏻 I’ll ❤ fiction again. 😊

I love this theme too! 📖📚📒 I’m just coming out of a long reading slump so my goal this year is 25 books. For me, it’s just the most realistic. I’ve read 4 so far, so I feel like I’m off to a good start. Hopefully I’ll surpass my goal. My favorite this month is Persuasion by Jane Austen. I was honestly surprised by how much I loved it.

This is stunningly beautiful 👏👏👏 Do you read in French ? I am French, my husband is American and I still find it tiring (although enjoyable) to read a whole book in English. We live in France, it'll be my excuse! I read around 50 books a year, I really wish I had more time... Once again, congratulations on your set up, it really is amazing. If you read in French, I recommend you "Veiller sur elle" (Jean-Baptiste Andrea) which is a fresq around sculpture in Italy just before Italy's fascist period, and a beautiful impossible love story between a man coming from a very poor background and a very rich woman. Worth to be read, it is recent as it received the "Prix Goncourt 2023" and I have no idea whether it has been translated, it would sure deserve it.

📚📚 My reading goal for 2024 is 250 books. I usually read well over 300, but I want to stop using reading as a way to disconnect from the hard things in my life as much as I do, so I reduced my goal and hopefully that will make me slow down and notice the world around me.

I work full time and it’s hard to have me time. I’m 23 and I work as a CNA and I’m very, very busy. Whether it’s working or sleeping. It’s hard to find time to sit down and read or listen to one, BUT I’m determined to make it to my goal!

The vintage nature/book combo is lovely! My reading goal is 60 this year, but I'm making it a goal that all sixty are 500+ pages. I got into a groove of reading ~200 books a year, but more often than not they were between 200-400 pages. I'm trying to read more slowly and take my time this year. I always love the book bracket. My top three were so close it was dreadful to decide which was better Thanks to you I picked up Monstrilio and Kaikeyi and loved both. Kaikeyi especially was a new favorite. Have a great day!📚

Beautiful spreads as always! I really enjoy your reading journal videos 💖 My reading goal this year is 18 books, I've already read the first one! I'm trying to add more non-fiction books to my readings, and the 2nd book I'm reading is a non-fiction, so I feel pretty good about that! There are days in which I simply can't read, and audio books don't work for me, so 18 books are a pretty good challenge. I barely got to 18 last year 😅. But I'm excited about this year! I have a series to finish, some Jane Austin for February (will be my first time reading her work ❤) and some new genres to explore.

📗📖💚 Stunning reading journal format! My reading challenge for 2024 is 40 books. Last year it was 52 and I felt like I was pushing it and choosing quick read novels to achieve my challenge, rather than really enjoying my reading. A fantastic non-fiction book I've just finished and gave 5 starts to is Rick Rubin's The Creative Act: A Way of Being. So many tabs for interesting and resonating paragraphs - I've bought the book and also the audible version. I had book amount goals the last few years trying to read more, last year managed to read 28 for the first time. This year I have 3 different type goals: build a daily reading habit, read 6 books from my collection (nonfiction/informative) as I keep buying and not reading books on topics that interest me, and read more fiction (joy reading). I quite like fiction reading but always feel guilty for some reason? Like I could spend the time better on info books, but I think joy reading could help me find back some creative inspiration & help me relax instead of playing games on my switch before bed 😂 I don't keep a reading journal like yours, mine has (daily) reading logs with notes on books I've read (be it whether I enjoyed it or info notes) + amount of pages read. Not to judge myself on how much I've read but to maybe see how my reading patterns change with times/genres.

Beautiful! I wish I had a portion of your creativity. I'm looking forward to the Notion video. I use Notion, but not for book tracking. I'd love to see your set up. Are you planning to share or sell your template?

My goal for 2024 is 31 Books. How I got that? Well my planner for 2024 has a Dev 2023 monthly so I turned it into my book tracker. 1 book for every day in Dec. I just covered all the Dec things with stickers and washi.

Hi Elizabeth!! Thank you for sharing this setup and I loved the stream you did the other day, it was awesome! 📚 For your reading around the world challenge I wanted to recommend you my favorite chilean author Pablo Simonetti and my three favorite books, Vulnerable Lives (Vidas Vulnerables), Mother Who are in Heaven (Madre que estás en los cielos) and The Reason of Lovers (La razón de los amantes). I hope you liked them 📚
