Hi, new viewer here! Found your channel a week or two ago via the Pine Guitar 4 Years Later video, and then went back and watched the rest of the series. Very excited to find those, as I'm currently trying to build a guitar out of pine myself, and you've given me an idea of what's possible. (Though in my case, not very probable, as this is my first attempt at building any kind of guitar, so honestly the 'stat debuff' of using unorthodox materials is something I can ill afford! 😝It's super low grade pine as well, it's literally from a cargo pallet. If it breaks in half when I tune it to pitch, oh well, I've got some "real" wood standing by for the second attempt.) I've since watched more of your build videos, it's awesome to see the process and how it's all done by someone with the knowledge and experience and proper workshop setup etc. - and let's not forget, the guitars you make are stunning. I'm particularly taken with the walnut top/light-coloured fretboard combo on the Celeste 2.0. Though sadly I think I could never handle owning a guitar that looked that good 'cause I'd want to take a bite out of it every time I saw it! 😋

Thanks so much! It makes me glad to hear you've enjoyed the content and the best of luck on your pine build! Making a pine guitar is a great way to learn the ins and outs of guitar building at a relatively low cost and at low risk. If you run into any questions along the way, don't hesitate to reach out! I look forward to hearing how you get on!🤘🏼

Happy New Year Tomster. The burnout is real - but I'm glad that the community came through with watching the playlists you made. I don't recall you mentioning your band and the 4 songs/ videos before, and the added workload and pressure of that. Looking forward to the content - For 2025 I have a resolution to complete a number of guitar projects that got derailed due to the pandemic and where I've not been in the right frame of mind to continue with. Rewatching your older stuff has been motivating. I've been making checklists and shopping lists through Christmas - I've somehow managed to have a pile of shame of 5 guitars that I need to work on. (re)Starting the first one when I get up on Jan 1 (so about 7 hours from when I am posting this)

Thank you🤘🏼 and I've probably only mentioned the band very shortly in passing before. Also with my brain being so fried most of the year... I forgot that that was a thing even though it took up a huge portion of my time and effort😅 Sounds like a great resolution to make and I look forward to you sharing progress as things go onward, feels flattering that my content has in any way been motivating!

The guitar building community is absolutely unlike most communities out there and is probably the best group of people ever. I'm so glad our efforts helped after the last video, and I only see a positie trajectory for you going forward. Happy New Year, and I can't wait to see what 2025 has in store for your brand! Cheers!

Ah, the pains of content creation. Things you really love to do never get enough views and then something low effort that you don't really care for that much blows up like crazy. The only way forward is to somehow get into the groove of creating content that's easier to make but still satisfies KZbin by being consistent.

Ain't that the truth. You'd think that after something like 14 years of making content (of different sorts) it'd get easier, buuuuut...😅 And absolutely right, and precisely what I am aiming for in the year ahead.

@@IPGuitars It just gets harder once you have a few successes I feel. I used to be super happy with a few hundred views on a video but these days anything under 1000 makes me feel bad 😂
