2024 Revisit! MontgomeryKONE Hydraulic Passenger/Freight Elevator At Union Station Kansas City, MO

installed in 1999 this is probably my favorite elevator ever here at Union Station. Normally they leave this elevator on independent service which is why it always is sitting open on the 1st floor. I would exercise caution when riding this as there's a camera right by the elevator on the rear side. if you've seen my previous videos of this elevator then you'll know this elevator opens up into the model train exhibit and the Grand Hall on the 1st floor. B is storage space and a service corridor nothing too exciting. This thing is really slow going down but much faster going up. whenever they have an event in Grand Hall they use this elevator as a bridge so people can easily get in and out of the model train exhibit. only time this thing actually moves is when it's being used for freight.
