You are absolutely right. Stepan Bandera, the Kremlin-made Bogeyman, was locked up by the Nazis for declaring Ukrainian independence 8 days into the Germans' invasion of the USSR. He spent almost all of WW2 in German prisons, most of it in the notorious Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp. He was released only when the Nazis were driven out of Ukraine in late 1944. They figured his calls for Ukrainian independence would slow the Soviets down and therefore help them. Bandera's Ukrainian Insurgent Army fought a guerilla war against the USSR until the late 1950s. That's why Ruzzia fears his memory and tries to make a Nazi straw man out of him.
