I had to resign as a first year teacher last year. Would give it another try but I can't seem to land a job this year. Classroom management was definitely a big part of that, though keeping up with lesson plans was also a big part.

It’s just as important that you interview your schools and admin when you are being interviewed. If schools have a laidback approach to discipline it could be setting you up for a fall as a new teacher. Don’t feel like your the only one who resigns in a toxic school site I’ve done it myself. Keep subbing and make yourself visible in schools you want to work at and you will land a job

Building systems that works takes time for new teachers. New teachers should have a lighter load (less preps and more prep time) than experienced teachers. Also in many schools new teachers get the classes experienced teachers opt out of teaching. Experienced teachers need to be in classrooms that are more difficult to manage because they have the skills and salary.
