@kendil22 Dang, that's sounds intense. I wear glasses, so that distance would kind of put the TV edge near the rims of my glasses, which is distracting. Maybe I will try it sometime just to see how it feels. Looking to buy a house within the next year, then I will be able to fit a bigger TV 🤩. Hoping they have QD-OLED above 77inch next year.

So glad to hear that dolby vision is not a deal breaker. I have an Apple TV 4K second gen. And I was worried about a samsung not supporting it. Glad to know a Samsung will work well and maybe better than other tvs. Thanks so much.

I bought a frame TV a couple years ago because it's what my wife wanted I really did not want it but I've actually come to like it quite a bit. For what we use it for basic TV watching and some video games sometimes I think it's actually a great TV and it looks really good on the wall The whole concept of it is very cool.

For Samsung the starting point should be the Q80 series and up.

The problem with some Samsung TVs is that we don't know which panel we're going to get. Some people might have an S90C with a Gen2 2000 nits max capable panel and "upgrade" to a lesser S90D with a Gen3 1500 nits max capable panel or worse in some countries only 55 or 65" is QDOLED and the rest S90Ds are WRGB OLED. It all comes down to the panel lottery rather than the model.

Upgrading from 77inch LG C2. Easy choice to mix things up already having the LG OLED, 77inch SONY a80j and AWOL 3000 pro for our den. The choice for us will be the 77inch S90D. We love its flexibility, specs and smart home connectivity, with other home appliances/phones/tablets...etc.

I was originally getting an 83" LG B4, but it went out of stock. Then I landed a great deal on a 85" Samsung QN90D for $1511 and that made the decision easy. Hopefully I won't regret skipping the OLED TV.

The One Connect Box has many limitations for PC gaming: Nvidia Image Scaling and DLDSR won't work and there's no way to fix that; you can't delete the 4096x2160 resolution with the CRU app and that has to be done with all these TVs to prevent stretching in some games (yes, even if you use 3840x2160 you get stretching due to that resolution existing). Possible blackouts with OCB, which I didn't experience with 2 S95Cs I tried

Love your videos. Just bought a 65 S90D. Noticing some processing issues, fuzziness, artifacts on lower quality, streaming content such as KZbin TV, HBO, Hulu. On 4k, Gaming and high quality 4k + HDR content, it is astoundingly good and I love it. It has me considering whether or not the LG G4 would actually offer any tangible benefits in this size? Would a G4 actually display a better upscaling or offer better processing that is truly noticeable over the s90D in your opinion?
@VivaLaFamous28 күн бұрын
G4 has better upscaling and processing! If you watch a lot of movies, old content, and even a lot of tv shows and things like KZbin then see if you can get the G4 instead. If you’re mostly a gamer then you you’re good with the S90D. You have one of the best TVs for gaming.

hi. please help. I bought myself a Samsung S95D and use an Apple TV (latest). HDR turns out to be much darker on the Apple TV than when I open applications on the Samsung Tizen. At the same time, the Samsung TV understands that there is an HDR on the screen, not SDR and HDR10+ is enabled on the Apple TV. When I open PLEX, the picture is dimmer than SDR, but as soon as I open the movie settings in PLEX, the picture becomes bright (as it should), and as soon as I close the settings, it becomes dim again.

I think Samsung neo qled tech has gone down since 2021. Accuracy has gone way down. The 2023 qn90c was accurate but the OS was terrible and blooming was very bad.. The 2024 qn90d has to be calibrated and probably is not much better than the qn90c. The Samsung qd oleds are fantastic though. The 2023 s90c has great color, picture quality and the depth of the hdr picture is amazing.

And isn´t OLEDs subpixel structure not supported by windows and therefore only Samsungs VA Panels are fit to be used as monitors? Kindly make a difference between couch potato and office desk gamers.

The s90d was recently nerfed in apl and highlights esp in sdr it visibly lost pop and contrast. At the same time buffed the s95d. Was waiting for costco to get some in when I saw the news. At 6 hours a day I am certain the tv, like most, would not be playing 2000 hours plus of hdr only content a year and then the same next year. That is 1000 2 hour movies or 2000 episodes per year not exactly realistic by any stretch. Thats 200 10 episode seasons. Even 500 worth watching movies and 1000 good hdr epidoses year after year is extremely dubious. Wonder what percent of people watch 500 hdr movies AND 1000 hdr episides in a year? Just keeping it real. Prob is there is somewhat limited well paved space for a porche to let loose, and they just reduced the sdr speed limit! Seems Samsung is at it again it was very dissapointing as was set to get it and that really stopped me up. Is Samsung that disorganized that they again did not know their qoled is too bright to sustain or maybe lack the proper skills to see it over competes or 2: did they wait until all reviews are done for this as a plan? Only 2 primary options they knew or did not, correct? I just cant think of a reason that is not either incompetence or slyly planned. Man Samsung just let me buy a tv without worry of how many debuffs you will throw at it.

With Samsung tv's you can not know how long they last, some models, or even size, work after warranty period, some fail after few months. Buy one samsung you can get extended warranty from retailer. Buy Sony if you tend to keep tv for longer.
