The 83" G4 is my "DREAM TV". I have owned a 77" C9 for the last several years, and it's still performing really well, but this sounds like next level performance from the G4. Especially with the advances in processing. I can't wait!!! 📺

Went back and forth between C4 and Bravia 8. I know the S90D is amazing and QD-OLED, but just the fact that their quality control has been bad and they have nerfed panels with updates took them out of the equation for me. For me, i didn't need the added brightness of the C4 because it was gonna be a bedroom set. Sony processing has always been "it" for me. If LG would have put the A11 chip in the C4, it may have persuaded me to try it. The Bravia 8 is plenty bright for my bedroom and i have no complaints.

I had narrowed it down to S95D and LG G4 Got the S95D from Costco just to try it out. Completely blown away by the glare free finish of the S95D. It’s like magic. Now we don’t scramble to close all the curtains during daytime - the TV absorbs all the glare and makes TV watching in a bright room exponentially better. Even at night time with overhead recessed lights there’s absolutely no reflections on the screen. And at night time the TV performs as good as any other OLED tv in terms of black levels and contrast. And the color popping and brightness of this third gen QD OLED panel is just amazing! I’m not even going to try out the LG G4 now as I can’t imagine going back to a screen with reflections.

Just got an "open box" 65" SD90D (which was still in excellent condition) from Best Buy for $1,099 out the door (sealed box retails now for $1,399) and I am floored by the quality. This is my first OLED, but I am blown away. Of course now I'm worried about burn-in, but their screensaver and pixel refreshing put me at ease. Hopefully I can get five good years and then move on to quantum mini-LED at a fair price.

I wouldn’t worry about burn in unless you use it as a computer monitor with static content for multiple hours a day every day. I wanted an OLED monitor for my pc but figured it was too risky the way I use it. Not concerned at all about my new S90D tho since the content is constantly changing

I bought a LG 65 inch G4 just as they came out, expensive as hell but the last TV before this was the original OLED from LG that lasted nine years. The reason we bought a new one was the burn in that OLED’s are susceptible too. The picture is outstanding and you are correct the reflection is no problem. I love the tv and have no regrets.

As a poor Canadian where tv's are 2x (up to 3x) the price of anywhere else i grabbed an 85" U8N and absolutely love it. Coming from a 4 year old Sony (now my bedroom tv). I tried a QM7 but returned it due to an issue but the U8N is blazing fast and has so much customizable featrures. Plus i LOVE the on screen gaming hub with all the bells and whistles. Unfortunately decent 70"+ OLEDs are 4, 5, even $6k+ Canadian.

You missed sth there. The trick with the S95D is that the softer reflection is a good thing, not a bad thing. I really can't understand why you described it as kind of a bug?! The softer reflection is much better, always, especially in a very bright room and NO other coatings can keep up with very bright light and its sharp edged reflections. Softer reflections can't cut off the TV image, maintaining a more seamless viewing experience.

This video made me consider the U7 or U8 but I've been pretty decided on getting the Sony X90L from Costco- 65" for 999 or 75" for 1299. Upscaling is a big thing for me as I only stream and do not have cable. I've also been convinced Sony is better quality but am open to have my mind changed. @tracer073 Without speaking technology, that's a difficult question to explain so you'll know. It's brighter than it's predecessor the A95K. It's not overly bright but just right for displaying the best contrast and detail. You'll never have to worry about color detail ever being washed out for being too bright.

I’ve bought for the Black Friday a 65” G4 for 1900 bucks. And i can confirm the “wow effect” when turned on the Tv and started to watch to NFL content on gamepass, or films and series on Apple Tv and Prime video. Stunning Tv, bright tv. The Google tv operating system of my previous Sony was better, than the webOs, but you will foget this detail when watching to this super tv. Also the vocal assistant works well. You’ll be happy with such a tv.

Look at the 1 star reviews on the s90d. Mine died in less than 3 weeks. I was gonna exchange for another s90d because it was phenomenal while it worked then I looked at the reviews and realized that it's a pretty common issue with them. If you do end up buying one anyways definitely buy the extended warranty

I don’t understand how to G4s anti reflective capabilities got a higher rating than S95D. The only time I’ve experienced this is in a store with lots of overhead bright lights, in every other more realistic viewing setting the S95D has G4 best easily. Plus better colors. Probably so close, it's 50/50. I keep getting the hisense in the 75" that have different panels than the 65" so it's hard to give that final advice. I would say go to rtings.com and compare them with their grrat comparison tool and make your decision.

I was going to get a Sony OLED, but I got a great deal on a 65" TCL QM8. It's about half the price of the tvs I had been looking at. It's the largest tv I have ever owned and is going to be a massive all around upgrade over my other tvs. 😊

That's too bad as that's much less of a TV at every level. Plus, statistically speaking, the cheaper TVs just don't last as long. If you get one, get as much additional protection/coverage on it as you possibly - and then cross your fingers and hope for the best.

I've had some issues with the S95D as well. It is finicky with connecting to sources, i don't love the matte finish as much as I thought, and no Dolby Vision is just an annoyance but not deal breaker. I prefer and think the Google TV OS is superior as well. All 3 are top tier

@@BTheInstaller The TizenOS is just an absolute mess. There was talk that Samsung might just drop it altogether and adopt GoogleTV instead. They won't do that largely due to pride, but they really should. The TizenOS has been an absolute lost cause for years now - and it never gets any better. Confusing, non-intuitive and clumsy interface and workflow there on that.

It seems Philips is still behind on upscaling and processing. They also are very expensive, you can get better specs and better value going for LG or Samsung. C4 and S90D destroy the Philips 809, and you can often find them for a cheaper price. G4, S95D and A95L also destroy Philips 909, which is also often more expensive than those three. They are great overall but behind their competitors and often more expensive. Ambilight is cool tho, and that's pretty much the only advantage they have over other brands.

The 55" sizes have the same damn problem. I own the U8N 55" because it is the top tier model from Hisense and the only manufacture in Mini Leds that has a top tier model. I can call it top tier because it does come in all major sizes in this class. The UX Model TVs are just super size TVs with 10,000 local dimming zones. I went from the Vizio C2 43" to the M7 50", to what I have now. I'm now maxed out on my shelf space.

Hey, make sure to have the hdmi in the ARC in tv and same on sound bar. There is a sound setting that engages EARC on the tv menu if it's off, it may not work properly. Normally it's plug and play.

I would put the C4 above the S90D for only one reason and that’s Dolby Vision. If that is something that matters to you like me then I try to avoid Samsung like the plague for now. If you are someone who doesn’t care about DV, then this list would be correct

I've been looking for a tcl qm8 for the last week or so, no one has them in stock, no one is shipping them. I walked into best buy earlier and spoke to an associate there wondering if they would be able to order one for me and he basically said they were phasing them out, discontinuing them and not going to get anymore in the store. He then tried to sell me a sony bravia 7. Decided to do more research before purchasing anything. Kind of bummed i can't find a qm8 in the 65 inch. For longevity, my LG TVs are lasting the longest… I’m looking for an excuse to upgrade to an oled, qled or mini-led tv…but this lg 3d tv won’t die! 😅. It’s a 1080p tv and honestly, it looks as good if not better than my 4K TVs . I think because this 3d lg tv has better processors in it, it’s allowing it to have a much longer shelf life. And I can’t get rid of it because my wife still loves it! And to be honest the picture is still great! The largest tv I have is an lg 65”, but I want to upgrade to at least a 75” upgraded tv. That is why I say if someone was wanting a tv that has longevity…the lg TVs in my opinion are lasting very long!…a good problem to have!

Samsung doesn't support DTS or DTS:X audio on any of their TVs for some reason. Nor do they support Dolby Vision HDR. Just too many things left out on the Samsung TVs today. I still don't understand why anyone buys them.

In my country‚ 48"‚ 55"‚ 77" and 83" S90D (all of them come with WOLED from LG Display) are sold with 10 - 30%‚ depending on size‚ lower price than the LG C4. I can say the same for their S95D compared to G4‚ most of the time is way cheaper than the G4. Though‚ sadly for S95D‚ even with it's great QD-OLED panel‚ the build quality for me is not that great on that TV‚ and I don't care that it is cheaper than the G4‚ I care about quality (build quality and complete experience‚ including codecs like DTS).

It's very hard to properly expose both a room and a tv. Much harder than people realize. But the info we tell you is more important than how you perceived the picture quality. Let me know if you have questions pertaining to a specific tv

For me the TCL QM7 is Bettler than the HISENSE U7 because when you do your own color setting or you pay a profesional you get 9.7 out of 10 in the QM7 and HISENSE do not Last more than 4 to 5years years of live. TCL live is around of 7 years or live

No. It's good but oled tvs are much better for darker room. The UX was pretty good in dark room too

I had to return Bravia 8 as it was too dim to my liking; Samsung as a brand I decided not to give my money to any longer so I am biased although the picture quality looks phenomenal on s90d. So here is my question. Would you pick a C4 over Bravia 9? Two different technologies but with different strengths, but for movies and sports, which one would be preferred? Thank you in advance.

@@partizanbgd0113I would choose the Bravia 9 hands down, the c4 is not much brighter than the Bravia 8 and the blacks on the Bravia 9 is oled level your naked eye can’t tell the difference
