SCarowinds is here! It is finally fog season at our home park, Carowinds! We get to try some tasty food from the all new Oktoberfest, go through all of the scare mazes and zones, and see the new shows for 2024. It's really exciting that one ticket will give you access to Tricks and Treats, Oktoberfest, AND SCarowinds! Join me as I take you on this Halloween experience at my favorite amusement park!

I’m glad that they seem to have much better staffing this year compared to the previous 2-3 years, and it looks like the animatronics in the mazes are at least partially fixed. I just wish they had a new maze or two because, based on the videos, the layouts of the mazes seem to be the same as they have been for multiple years now. I was not planning on going this year, but I might go on a Sunday if the staffing stays consistent. Scarowinds has a special place and my heart, and I’m glad they are sort of bouncing back by the looks of it.

I agree with everything you just said. To check to see if it was extra staffed for the media night, I did a poll on Instagram yesterday to ask it stayed that way for a regular SCarowinds day. Most people said there were still extra actors compared to last year so that's good. Hopefully it stays that way all season!

I went about 2 years ago and the staff were pretty lifeless and didnt put in any effort to scare people lol. But the lines for mazes went by quickly and it was still cool walking through

Trust me, I know what you're talking about. However, I felt that this year is different. The two times I've been, the scare actors were working really hard and doing great. I feel like Carowinds has set them up better and hired more people. This has, IMO, helped. At least based off of my experiences this year.

I went there yesterday the 14th. I have been going there since the 2013 season and this year Scarowinds has been a huge let down. Lack of decorations through out the park and the theme for the new scare zone were very weak. The Mazes are old with Paranormal inc being the newest at 3 years in already. A lot more crowded now with the all day ticket. The pro so far this year is the attention to the actors. A lot more of them and I mean it too. Almost 1 at every corner inside the maze. We went in around 5:30, so I'm not sure if there are anymore long traffic lines. So the all day thing could be a plus for the traffic nightmare of the past.

I went yesterday as well and I agree on the crowd. It was packed! I was going to do a quick maze before I left but there was no way I was waiting in those lines. I thought the zones were decently cool this year though. Yea, it's still mostly the same ol but I thought they did decent considering. I mean, it was fun but we need something exciting and big next year.

Houses were actually scarier than HHN houses this year…. Staffing helped!!!!

I have so many friends at all of them, I could never rank them. But I will say that of all the ones I've been to on my channel, all of them are absolutely sick. If you don't want to watch the videos, just Google search them, read reviews, or maybe look for awards they've won.

It’s definitely not like the old SCarowinds. It was lackluster this year, barely any decorations like years past… The chaperone policy could work if they started it earlier in the day and enforced it throughout the park. I kinda wish I wouldn’t have gotten a season pass.

@@jacobgreene2220 I went last night and it was CROWDED. Lots of people screaming and running blindly through fog and stuff. Definitely not the media event but we still had fun watching the shows and going through the scare zones. I do miss the golden days though, that's for sure! I see your point but we still had a good time. It's probably going to be a better experience on Sundays too.

@@jacobgreene2220 Hey i’m one of the scare actors at scarowinds and i always try to find videos of it. But to clear this up for you, there is a limit of actors who can be in scare zones or else it would be a safety hazard to ourselves, we only have one supervisor watching us. People are violent and unpredictable it’s just for our own safety we do our best to give you an experience. Hope this helped enjoy scaro!
