A Jen Jones 2024 Scotties win means automatic qualification for the 2025 Canadian Curling Trials for one of Kate Cameron. Kaitlyn Lawes or even a Rachel Homan all because Jen Jones decided to retire in 2024 and forfeit her chance at playing at the 2025 Canadian Curling Trials in Halifax in November 2025.

Also since Jen Jones is retiring at the end of the 2024 season, this implies that should Jen Jones wins the 2024 Scotties, this opens the door for someone like a Kate Cameron or a Kaitlyn Lawes to quit their team in order to skip the Jen Jones team at the 2025 Canadian Curling Trials in Halifax in November 2025.

I find it interesting that should Jen Jones wins the 2024 Scotties, Homan could quit her team and skip the Jen Jones team at the 2025 Roar of the Rings in Halifax in November 2025, meaning Homan doesn't even need to win the Scotties in order to qualify for the 2025 Canadian Curling Trials.
