Add a flexible pipe to the end of the auger and that will help lining up.

Just kick the windows out if the fan quits. All the tractors in Sikeston salvage yards are that way!

Never been around a drill like that, but it sure looks like your old John Deere is a lot simpler. That looks like it would be a nightmare to work on.

Hey Kelly and Matt, just wondering if filling the front tires with fluid on the tractor moving the modules helped much?
@griggsfarmsllc Жыл бұрын
It helped quite a bit
@carlroop2674 Жыл бұрын
Sounds like you've got way too much grain drill for your tractor
@taylorjennings2218 Жыл бұрын
Ah yes, “the meat grinder” as Mike Mitchel would say. Impressive drill nonetheless

need 8 ft ext on that auger that is a great tool but when it runs over thousands of acres i wonder what kind of nightmares it will creat cant buy one every year i imagine they are rather expensive

I know you’re experimenting with a new planter but I’m surprised you’re not running 2 drills if you think it’s a late season
@griggsfarmsllc Жыл бұрын
I really didn’t want to have to clean up 2 drills. Plus Andy and Kelly were busy fertilizing and spraying the wheat ground

I hope you Kelly and your family had a wonderful and blessed Christmas. What tourists attractions exist in Humboldt, Tennessee for History buffs like myself?

Absolutely nothing

You said something about secondary heads on wheat. What are those secondary heads? More of the primary or another head totally?
@griggsfarmsllc Жыл бұрын
When a wheat plant emerges., it has one stem basically. That is called the primary tiller. If the plant is not too crowded and has adequate time and resources (water, nutrients) it will branch out and produce secondary tillers. Each tiller is capable of producing one head of wheat

I like that air seeder what are your thoughts on after full season last year we planted wheat in late November and it was the best crop we ever had by far
@griggsfarmsllc Жыл бұрын
I’ll have a full review of it in a few videos

Hi Matt, does that seeder stop over lap seeding when you run over extra rows?👍👍👍🙏
@griggsfarmsllc Жыл бұрын
If you set it up correctly it does

Hi Matt hope you all had a merry Christmas and that you all have a happy and healthy new year. I’m sorry I don’t know much about cotton but I was wondering what the average marshmallow you made weighed and how do you set the machine to stop and wrap it and dump it out is it by weight or by diameter thanks
@griggsfarmsllc Жыл бұрын
Avg module weighs around 4300 lbs. it wraps automatically based on diameter. Just like a big round hay baler

How many loaves of bread 🍞 per acre? 😂
@griggsfarmsllc Жыл бұрын
I’ll let you know next June…and the wheat we grow is not used to make bread. That would be hard wheat. The soft wheat we produce is used to make flour used in cake, pastries, crackers, etc
