Hey plant lover! Welcome to my home garden in Central Indiana, this is the last video where I show you my seedlings and their first day outside.
I can't believe that only a few weeks ago I was carefully planting every single seed here, while some of these plants turned out to be healthy strong baby plants, some of them are purely struggling but I have hope for all!

Thank you Roxana for showing us all your plants grown from seed. This is no easy task. Just moving this many trays around is a lot of work. I have about 12-15 trays and it's getting hard to water and attend to them all. I'm just about to harden off and hopefully get my plants in the ground or their containers!! I'm ready to turn the corner and get Spring planting underway! I'm also growing Dahlia from seed this year. 🤞

Amazing progress! Those coleus are just beautiful. Be careful with the malabar spinach - it will take over everywhere and then reseed. I only planted 1 plant in a raised bed 4 years ago and I will forever have malabar spinach. I like to cook it and it does look pretty so I allow it to try to bully my other vining plants every season. My tomato seedlings are also struggling this year and I don't know why. They were fine inside and since hardening off they look very wimpy. This is the first year I've had that happen.

@@SoilandMargaritas Enough to feed 2 people all summer, when I harvested probably once a week. The more you harvest, the more it produces. We used it in stir fries and it disappears when you cook it the same way regular spinach does. My plant was in part shade too - if it is in full sun, it will really go for it. It loves hot and humid.

Your plants look amazing! I started hardening a couple days ago. It’s painfully slow. I feel like everything needs potting up but then think it almost time to get in the ground. Will you pot up the nasturtium or just put them in the ground soon? Also, I started celosia(the cockscomb and plume varieties) but thought they should be one per cell. Do they do well with a few clumped together or do you thin when you plant them out? I’m in Indy too. Love watching your channel!
@SoilandMargaritas
@SoilandMargaritas 5 ай бұрын
I hear you! Nasturtiums will go straight into the ground or containers like that, I am already there so no need to put up in between. As far as celosia goes, I like to break the rules on that, I don't mind having multiple plants like that, if I have lots of them on one container I definitely could divide into smaller amounts but 2-4 I don't mind really, they will eventually get bigger space in my raised beds.

Beautiful! I have seedlings coming out my ears lol. I have close to 30 trays of them. It's definitely a juggle to harden them off. I have a cheap 8 shelf greenhouse I use to transition my seedlings and that helps. For the purple milket grass, should I plant them in groups? I have a 6 cell of them but each cell only has 1 seedling in it.

Hardening off is the least fun time of starting seeds. I'm doing the same. You have so many pretty seedlings. I ran out of the bigger size containers so some of my plants are a little stunted because they are still in the small six packs. I want to get some of those 3" ones you have. Do you like them?
