That was fulfilling! Quinyon Mitchell...REAL...first round pick. Max Melton looked good too, Day 2. Tez Walker has got some juice, Roman Wilson is a problem, Malachi Corley is going to be a weapon. Johnny Dixon should be arrested for assault, and his teammate, Kalen King, needs to consider the UFL. Pearsall has to stop falling on the ground and Cowing needs to catch the friggin ball. Brendan Rice was ah'right, and the rest of them on both sides of the ball look like UDFAs.

What we can't forget, and by that I mean me, is that some of these guys haven't played for like two months and don't have their sea legs. I can't hold Day 1 against them.

Quinyon Mitchell had the best reps didnt do the double hand press/ grab which idk why coaches still teach that its only for a tight relase for a big frame reciver you lock your hips doing that until your hands drop and now you loss at the los instantly after that. He used correct off hand technique and finished playing through the wr hands

LOVED: Malachi Corley, Quinyon Mitchell. A big question I had with both was how would they do vertically. And well both did great in my eyes. Other highlights included Brenden Rice. He struggled against physicality, it showed up on tape, but he has the body and catch radius to be a nice deep threat. Roman and Ricky were cooking. Luke McCaffrey had some nice reps. This is why I pay no attention to 1-on-1 WR vs DB All-American Blue Chip Drills Because when you have to run real precision routes at proper depth based on QB drops as in 3-step drop, 5-step drop etc.. Most WRs can't get open in time and the QB has to come off their read and on the the next. You don't have time to be playing around inside the route. Get in and get out the route create sep and have your head turned around hands ready to catch the ball.

Overall I agree with your fundamental point. And your point is one reaspn why when everyone was going crazy for Michael Wilson last year I was more measured in my response. You can’t throw 4 jab steps and 5 head fakes while running a route in a real game. You need to get to a particular place at a particular time. However, I don’t agree that these 1 on 1s have no value or shouldn’t be paid any attention. They help with the athletic evaluation for sure. You really get a chance to see how these guys move, good on good, rather having to rely on “hey, he had 3 interceptions against North Yukon Territory State and the receiving room consisted of 3 future accountants and 2 reindeers but it was a heckuva game.”

One thing to pay attention to is how poor the majority of these throws are too. Penix and Nix are NOT first rounders and arguably not even day 2 guys. This QB class is much the same as 2021. Lots of overhype and only maybe 1-2 guys will really make it. People are going to be to cost themselves and their staffs jobs by drafting some of these bums in the first round!
