2024 Ski-Doo Expedition SE ACE 900 Turbo R - If an Adventure Bike was a Snowmobile! Feature Review!

Hi Peter, I bought exactly the same snowmobile last year, I have a chance to use it for the whole season I put almost 1000 Kilometers. This snowmobile is everything You wanna do on the snow and more. Like everything in life there are also drawbacks. Weight and size is the biggest problem. It is pretty nimble on the trails you just have to keep in mind what you are driving. The best comparison I can come up with is to drive high end luxury sport SUV. If somebody like to go with a whole bunch of friends and do ditch banging and jumping this is not snowmobile for you, However you will not have a problem to keep up with them. I have a chance to go ice fishing with few of my friends. I ask to pull the heavier sled behind to the lake and back. Sled was loaded with gear I estimate around 400 kilograms. In low gear Didn't notice much difference, Snowmobile pulled this with no problem. It was early spring temperature was hovering around zero Celsius. Didn't have any problems with overheating the snowmobile has radiator. Approximately 40% of my Snowmobiling is with my girlfriend, Very comfortable place to be. Haven't heard one complain from her even on very long days. Overall I highly recommend this sled, Very well engineered quality of fit and finish is very high. My last snowmobile was Polaris Titan and that one doesn't come even close. Of course this is only my personal opinion. I will highly recommend this snowmobile.

I have had my 2024 Ski-Doo Expedition SE ACE 900 Turbo R for 2 months now. All I can say is WOW! Maxed it out at 110mph, can lift skis up at 55mph and they come back down at 85mph. The air ride is so soft and smooth. Just hit 500 miles on my sled. Just love everything about it and only negative I have is the thing is heavy. Better have the winch kit if going alone. Otherwise awesome for trail riding and handles the deep snow pretty well. Oh, and a side note, I carry a tow strap and 100 feet of good rope in the box under the seat. Because I have the big dog sled on the rides, I ended up towing in two Arctic Cats and one Polaris. Not at the same time either though I think I have enough power in low to do that!

Man if anyone is wondering, these things are a riot. Old man picked one up last year, in eco they ride like a non turbo 900 and the sport mode hang on🥶

DAMN 😳 I'm blown away by how far Snowmobile Technology has come over the past few decades!!! The first Snow Machine I road was a 1976 Yamaha 440cc. If I'm correct it was the first Snow Machine that utilized an actual Transmission instead of the centrifugal style clutch system!!! 👍 Yeah I know, I'm giving away how old I am but that's OK with me, when I'm drooling over this Amazing Machine you're showing off here!!! 😊😁🤑 The days of primitive 2 stroke Snow Machines with about 30hp on a good day are Long Gone I see!!! Just Sayin'🤬

I wanted to make a point about using a lower grade of fuel in your late model 4 stroke Snow Machines, especially when they have a Turbo Charger, that people should seriously keep in mind!!! These engines are designed to operate very differently than the engine in your car or truck. Not to the extreme of an outboard boat engine which is literally like trying to drive your car around town, only in top gear, with your foot to the floor at all times which creates a massive amount of stress on all the moving parts. But similar to that scenario for a Snow Machine Engine!!! I hope that makes sense for everyone!!! ALWAYS USE GASOLINE WITH HIGHEST AMOUNT OF OCTANE, AND STAY AWAY FROM USING THE CHEAPER, LOWER OCTANE FUEL ⛽ A 4 stroke engine will run more efficiently with less problems over time. Especially a Turbo Charged Engine which runs much hotter and puts a far greater amount of overall stress on all moving parts. You definitely want fuel with the highest level of octane makes the greatest amount of power throughout the entire rpm range, while running at cooler combustion temperatures!!! I actually prefer adding Octane Booster to fuel in a Turbo Charged Snow Machine Engine for better overall efficiency and power output that way!!! Just some solid, time proven advice for your viewers!!! Just Sayin'🤬

Already paid for this exact machine. Just waiting for the phone call to pick it up as it is still in the crate at this moment. The wait.... lol. Fairbanks Alaska. Going to put many miles on it way back in the mountains. Just hope this machine will be able to climb the summits around Mt Denali.

Zakly. Old time bush Alaskan here. Too much. Probably a good sled but confusing for this ol boomer! 😅 Being a dog musher Probably doesn't help. The ol bravo was an awesome trapline machine and simple
