The judges were cheering for Hoban, nothing against this skater… but the video is there to everyone see that a kickflip nosegrind got a 9… and a big clean switch kickflip over the highest spot at the skatepark go 8.8. The problem here is not the switch kickflip but a 9 for a common kickflip+nosegrind

I feel Kelvin's pain. His run was varied, switch, fakie, transition. He deserved a higher score. Hoban shouldn't have been considered the winner. He only does regular stance tricks, kickflips into everything. It's time the judges show the score breakdown. Exactly what are they scoring? Rate each aspect of the trick or run, stop hiding the breakdown.
@zkipa7 ай бұрын
even if he did deserve a higher score, like maybe a 9.2, kelvin bailed 3 of his best tricks, and only 1 line score counts. he was in a position to be able to win, and could have. he just didn't land his tricks
@zkipa7 ай бұрын
from SLS perspective, kelvin also consistently does a lot of the same tricks. after watching all the SLS, I can confidently say kelvin is one of the most repetitive skaters I've watched. I understand why the judges dock him sometimes
