excited but skeptical for subaru getting into Hybrids. Theory of operation for Hybrids is practical and amazing but Subaru is pretty new with it. If you aren't rich i wouldn't recommend a Subaru hybrid right away. give it a few years for them to fix out the bugs and issues.

That’s understandable but to be fair, the Subaru system looks pretty off the shelf. It uses a starter-alternator like many of the German mild hybrid cars, and the battery looks well set up for cooling. Looks like they may have let others learn the hard lessons first!

It’s actually a pretty simple but elegant system, and mild - the alternator also acts as a motor and feeds torque to the crankshaft through the main serpentine belt. It’s a nice-to-have feature, but the fuel savings won’t be near what a full hybrid or something like Nissan’s e-Power system delivers

This is not the 2025 Subaru Crpsstrack Hybrid, so should be CVVT based
