The 2024 Subaru Crosstrek starts the year as Subaru's best selling model and being one of the hottest subcompact crossovers in the US. The 2024 Subaru Crosstrek is mostly all new with a revised platform, interior, and has newer technology to better compete in this segment. Today we'll be taking a look at the Crosstrek Premium to see how it compares to the out going generation, and to see if it's still the best vehicle you can buy in this segment.

Fun Fact: If you go to Subaru HQ in Miyataka, Japan, they have a musuem of their heritage and modern STIs on top of their dealership where you can also take a seat in the cars and its open to the public for free. Been there last spring and it was sick.

KZbinrs should be calling out dealerships for inflating that MSRP. It should be against the law to do that. The best price I could get for a premium is around 32K. Some dealerships inflate even more than that.

It will get to the point where everything will crash. I work for a dealership in Mass and foot traffic is the worst I have ever seen. Most but not all are creating a false demand by having less inventory.

Agree. It is ridiculous. Subaru used to be one of the cheapest cars to buy or lease. However this is happening with everything now.

Got mine reserved, should be coming off the truck in February! Got this color, I was looking at the wilderness edition but couldn’t justify the increase in monthly payments. Excited for my premium!

As far as i konw, is the chassis to have been stiffed by 10%, wich allowed suspension to have been softened

This was a very popular model. I like the way Subaru is steering you away from this car and into a more expensive trim. Nobody wants polyurethane. I get why the base has one. Kinda sucks they pulled the leather out of the premium.

It does suck as the steering wheel is something you're in contact with virtually 100% of the time. C'mon Subaru!!

Yeah, I was bummed at first about the poly steering wheel, but have been noticing, most manufacturers aren't using genuine leather anyway. I noticed even Lexus uses leatherette on the steering wheel. You can tell because after just a year or two it gets very shiny and slick. Leather doesn't change that quickly. My poly steering wheel on my 20 year old Civic still looks great.

I am looking for other's opinions regarding the standard 4 cylinder engine. I have heard pros and cons about how adequate the power is. Looking for opinions. When i buy a vehicle I always buy the base engine and have had no lack of power issues. Just curious of other's opinions. Thanks.

It really sucks what automakers are doing with cars. They slapped in a big screen and removed a lot of features and equipment from the exact trim which was standard previously.

This new one looks terrible inside.. that touchscreen is a solution I. Search of a problem not to mention the piano black on the steering wheel and the cheap Looking center console… blegh

Personally I don’t think it really needs a power lift gate since the tailgate is smaller and lighter than something like the forester (though it would make the price of the optional package a little more reasonable), but I definitely agree rear vents should’ve come standard

Shop it around. You would be surprised how much value a used '21 holds. I'm going to get about $20k for my 2020 with 75k on it.

I love the front wheel trim vents, as they add a really nice element to the aesthetic of the large cladding and just overall aggressive appearance. That said, I've heard others suggest they're purely cosmetic and I have to agree. This is supported by the fact that the higher powered 2.5L models of the Limited and the Wilderness don't have them.
