Almost time to clock up a few miles on my 2024 Suzuki vstrom 250 SX but prior to riding there are several mods to be done to the bike.
First off fitting of pannier racks/rear rack/crash bars and a fully functional sump guard.
Part 2 How to fit a 3 or even the 5 litre reserve fuel container - • 2024 Suzuki Vstrom 250...

I am thinking my next bike should be something more simple to work on (more in my wheel house) like this. Thinking dr650, any experience with them?

@@stevetaylor9265 id say they are pretty good bikes and well liked too. plus a fair bit more power than these 250's but i like the smaller and lighter bikes and im planing to ride into some rough country on this one so the lighter the better...lol

That Strom looks a great lighter weight trail runner - plus front mudguard near the wheel to catch the crud at source. Interested in how the dual purpose tyres cope as they look to have a decent tread pattern for both road n semi-wild

I guess it is only personal opinion but I think the black and red looks way better than the yellow.
@ridewithwarro
@ridewithwarro 6 ай бұрын
i had the yellow in the 250sx and also in the drz400e so the black side its different. but i'd still taken the orange if it was still made but seeing its black now- i think the colour blends in well. so no complaints my way and hopefully after i fit the extras i hope to run it in some very nice out in the sticks country. should be interesting with several cameras and 2 drones to grab the shots

This looks a ripper secondary bike for doing gravel work. In the future, please make a video giving as an idea on its gravel road guts. I'd consider getting one of these over say a Yamaha WR250R or Honda CRF300L, which I don't enjoy riding on the high speed roads to get to the gravel!
@ridewithwarro
@ridewithwarro 6 ай бұрын
yeah i had a new 300l and didnt like it much. had the crf250l and the rally too. never had the wr250r id say it would easily be the better bike but not sure if you can buy them new or not. if so id say no change out of $10k so still think for the money this is hard to beat. this will be doing lots of dirt once i set it up so it may be good or bad..lol time will tell there. either way its a good sealed road bike at 100 kph easy cruise. this one has only done 120 klm total but i think that will change a bit shortly after weather cools down a bit

@@ridewithwarroWR250R was good, I was riding my brothers, but its was nicked out the back of his Hilux in the woolies car park when he stopped for lunch! But thats the problem, had to drive it to the good spots because no good on sealed!
@ridewithwarro
@ridewithwarro 6 ай бұрын
@@MrCombfoot yeah those wr's are pretty popular especially from riders who'd like to get them at a steal...lol these 250 sx's run well on sealed at 100 kph with no effort and not much in the vibes either. for the rideaway price it would probably be worth looking around for a suspension upgrade to move it to a new level. that side doesnt worry me as where i go and by myself a fast ride on dirt is not a safe ride. when on the enfield most of the dirt roads rides i was the only one on the road and i plan similar rides for this but in new riding grounds

Hello Warro. Aaron here from the United States. I have a 2022 Royal Enfield Classic 350 Halcyon Grey. I am enjoying the experience. However at 2600 miles my speedometer is stuck at 20. The speedometer increased but never decreases below 20 on the gauge. I remember you speaking of a similar situation for yourself. What did you end up doing?
@ridewithwarro
@ridewithwarro 6 ай бұрын
well you can pull the speedo and give the terminal a bit of a clean but its only a short term fix. it should be covered still by factory warranty and if you put in a claim they should replace the speedo for free. i think they fixed this fault on 2023 models so enfield is very aware of the issue back in my 22 history there a clip on what i did cleaning wise. must be hot where you live as for some reason this pops up more as weather or temp increases too

Be able to bolt gas cans on those frames too if need to carry extra fuel.Also if you got bags on frames & engine crash bars & bike gets dropped barely get any damage if any & be on the bags maybe a scratch or chip on paint on engine crash bars nothing a dab of paint can't hide.
