The "he should miss" strategy referring to Joudain Smith is troubling. We should have abandoned it after his 2nd 3-pointer. I'm SWAC and will fervently support Grambling State men's and Jackson State's women's team, but we had enough in our arsenal to win. The only upside is that I want PJ Henry to showcase to the nation his brilliance, which would maximize the team collectively, but he's not even 60% healthy. This loss iis the most painful because all our seniors are an ALL-STAR team by themselves, but struggled to make our identity known consistently to dominant.

Coach Jones is a great coach, no doubt, but the adjustments should have been implemented much earlier in the 1st half. Throw away the analytics and trust what's in plain sight at the moment. We relied too heavily on the 3-pointer, and players weren't cutting to the basketball. Also, our big man did not utilize their height effectively in the interior both offensively and defensively. Lack of depth as well. I believe ultimately the 2 consecutive late games impacted our legs and rhythm, but we didn't have the pertinent attributes to go further if we had a different outcome. Can we retain the senior players due to COVID?
