2024 was my second year tapping maples, and my first time doing Black Walnuts.

Sounds like it was successful harvest. That will cover lots of pancakes or add to your coffee. Good job Josh. Enjoy. Thanks for sharing.

Good wrap-up Josh. Walnut doesn't sound worth it unless you can charge a small fortune for it, could be worth another try. I bet the pope has all the sap he needs 😁🤣

That's not too shabby, 10 x 128 = 1280 / 16 = 80 bottles, less packaging costs, value added combo packs, magical marketing... next year you may even pay for some equipment, sweet!

I've been thinking about trying to do some infused syrups. Coffee, vanilla, etc

Great video, are you tapping sugar maples, also known as hard maples, or, soft maples? We tap sugar maples here in northern WI, and our sap sugar content is higher than 2%.

Soft maples. There’s a few hard around the farm but not many.

Where was Mrs. Butterworth? It's not really a syrup video without her presence. Do you have more maples you could tap instead of walnut? Thanks for sharing!

Pretty sure if the camera had been angled down a bit, she'd have been in some of the shots. If I were to guess, I'd say there is easily north of 500 maples that could be tapped.
