Yeah, it was definitely due for some oil on the chain. I think it looks worse since the chain didn't have any tension on it.

Josh, watching you put the back window in made my back hurt as well. You pay for it for a while as well. The bailer seems to have whethered the years well as most are rusted out in such short order. Painting one is so expensive that you paint one twice and you can find another for that price at a auction in Kansas. Many parked where last used, the brush grew around them in a couple years. Is that tractor starting to enjoy a drink of oil as she does smoke hard but then how much fuel is it drinking as well. I so hope that fuel and food come down in cost and that the farmer starts catching a break. If you watch the news and see where government spends money to give mice cocaine or if fish are angry about one degree of temp... better yet borrow money from china to feed chinese people in china... hard to figure why people voted for this. Take care young man, glad dad gave a hand but dang... make him help put the back window in... that had to be a pain!!

Looks very dry, did you guys have drought conditions this summer? Although we supposedly had drought all around us, we were actually pretty wet until fall. Was this project to keep in pigs or calves?
@LandisLegacyFarm28 күн бұрын
I don't think it was really any worse than usual compared to the past few years. Mostly this was for LGD but also to keep calves in or cows from sticking their heads through and getting "stuck".

Good work there Josh. What was close? Was the modification to the cattle water fence to fend off LGD escapes?

@morgansword28 күн бұрын
I nearly forgot that mill that built the building above it, we all wanted it to be a house. You started a garden and next thing you know was a bigger garden. The bridge was quite the undertaking and just how that finally went has disappeared from my little brain.... be a farmer, its fun they say and your going to eat for free.... never bought grain, hay, vet bills, fertilizer and bug control, had some chickens to keep some of it down... yeah free. Just keep being Josh, a guy who will make his mark in the world some day.. might not want to drive the old jeep in the barn tho to get it done/LOL
@LandisLegacyFarm28 күн бұрын
Still haven't gotten the cover back on the covered bridge, but it's still the plan. I think I need to build a bigger barn/shop with a vehicle lift in it. Maybe I'd finally get the ol land cruiser back together....
