Discworld! ❤The next in the City Watch series for you is Men At Arms, and it's glorious 😁. An easy way to get Pratchett properly under your belt is to use them as the 'between tomes' choice (They and Dresden are my standard fall backs from ❤Hobb❤). They're refreshing and intelligent and usually only around 350/400 pages. Here's to a great 2024. 😘

Your list could be my list of new and rereads. I started the Raymond Feist last year for the first time and love it, want to continue, I think it holds up well. Read Stephen Donaldson years ago when they first came out. Loved them. Tried a reread in later years and couldn't get into them at all and gave them away. Great list, Matt. Hope you get to them all. Do a follow up video next December to see how well you did. I'm a mood reader, sometimes I pull a book off my shelf that has been sitting there unread for years and discover it is my new favorite book! The Meadow by James Galvin was one such book.

This is the longest and most ambitious 'not a TBR' TBR video I have ever seen, but you do you 🤣 Really hope you get around to Dandelion though, that is absolutely one of my faves. And I hope all the rereading brings you lots of joy. As a fellow shitty memory sufferer, I deeply relate to both the frustration of always having to reread but also the fun of experiencing a book as if its the first time haha. Oh and if I could add anything else to your radar that I think you should read... Legacy of the Brightwash by Krystle Matar. The Wickwire Watch by Jacquelyn Hagen and Obsidian: Awakening by Sienna Frost! Let's get some more indie in there ;))) Happy reading, Matt 🥰

Love your list. I just downloaded Dandelion Dynasty today and plan to start it soon. I will also be restarting and continuing my read of Suneater next month, now that the next book is available as an eARC. And yesterday I posted a video flipping a coin because I couldn’t decide between Malazan and Wheel of Time, and it landed on Malazan, which I’ve read half of but will be restarting and reading until completion this year. After 30 years not sure if it still counts as a reread. Did reread the first three BC books as a break after Second Apocalypse. Just what I needed and Shadows Linger is just good. Am also rereading Elric now. The writing is almoat sparse by modern standards but enjoying them. Do need to read Return to Edan still and sequels to Gunmetal Gods. And Song of Arbonne. But very much a mood reader often dictated by what is on the shelf at Half Price Books. If books 1 and 4 of the Gap Cycle show up will likely start those.

I have in my list some of the ones you mentioned: Hobbs, The Dandelion Dinasty, Malazan... and I am really curios about the Long Price Quartet... but I am scared because between physical books and kindle ones I have way more then 300 book pending to read... and that is utter nonsense!!! 😂

Mood read based TBR ✅ (although I’m failing at this already 🤦‍♂️) The Dandelion Dynasty ✅ (got the full set on my shelves, ready to start, but the first book was on my 2022 ‘must read’ list so epic fail there! 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️) Suneater ✅ (got a few on my shelves, ready to start, dead excited to get to this one 🤩) : And so it goes! Mood reads FTW, though. I desperately want to get to that, but I keep signing up for Readalongs 🤦‍♂️ So January has been rammed, but I don’t have (m)any long term ones booked in so far, just three trilogies as I type. Matt, have you read Mythago Wood by Robert Holdstock? I read it 11 years ago when I was just getting interested in fantasy again. I loved it and got the last in the series (skipping the others) because it is the direct sequel to MW. I want to reread MW to see if it is as good as it was in 2012, and read the last one if it WAS as good as the first time. I keep putting the reread off though. I don’t think it’s a matter of scared, more a matter of the fact that my TBR is so long with unread books.
