2024 Three Minute Thesis (3MT) PhD 2nd Runner-up - Shijie YUAN

On June 6, the HKUST(GZ) concluded its 2024 Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) final competition. Developed by the University of Queensland, #Australia, the 3MT® competition challenges participants to explain their research in comprehensible and engaging language within 3 minutes, using a single static slide. Sixteen finalists from PhD and MPhil groups showcased their presentation skills and research to the applause of the judges and the audience. Organized by the Pillar of Language Education, the event attracted nearly 100 audience members to watch the competition in person and online.
Shijie YUAN, a PhD student in the Advanced Materials Thrust of the Functional Hub, received the 2nd Runner-up in his group for his presentation on "UHMWPE Nanomembrane as a Scarless Wound Dressing". #OnInHKUSTGuangzhou ‪@universityqueensland‬
