Got a Jackson Holiday Prism and X-fractor in my first box along with Merril x-fractor rookie debut

I was able to get six boxes from Target. Absolutely skunked in three boxes. Other three boxes I got Skenes true rookie negative, Holiday green raywave /99, Matt Waldron green auto /99, and Yuki Matsui printing plate.

I ripped 3 Chrome Update Megas and hit 2 Stratospheric Stars (Wyatt/Gunnar) and a bunch of nice hits like Holliday/Merrill xfractors and a J-Dom raywave true rookie. Missed on all the numbered and prisms but overall, I can't complain, I'm just happy I got them for $48/box as I refuse to pay secondary market prices right now. I can't pull Skenes to save my life though, I'm a certified Jared Jones and Henry Davis magnet!

nice video, still makes no sense that they doubled up chrome rookies. do not like it. why does someone need two chrome xfractor rookies? Update is usually a tier below actual chrome. Just short-sighted by the money grabbers at fanatics

@@robertbrillhart5961 hi! so guys like Merril, Chourio, Langford, and Holliday got SPs in series 2. which was cool cause that release lacked some oomph. so one paper rookie there. not their "true flagship rookie". Then the same crew of the top rookies got Chrome rookies in 2024 Topps Chrome, which is usually the shortened down list of series 1 + 2. Fast forward to update flagship, the same guys now get their flagship rookie release in update series. Ok so now they have flagship rookie and their chrome rookie. Update chrome comes out, and these guys not only have the debut rookie but also another base rookie. So now they have SP series 2 rookie, chrome rookie, update series, AND chrome update. Now the parallels in chrome normal are much more desirable than the update chrome ones. any true parallels + on card auto will out weigh the update autos. So you would think this would lead to lower prices on the wax for update? but no it does not. This is of course buoyed by the debut patch hype train with no regard for the actual scarcity of the rest of the set. There is some precedent for this in 2018 i believe acuna / ohtani got some double dipping as well but that went away for a bit due to topps managing checklists well and not being afraid of not having an ultra super cracked out chase in every set.

I pulled an Elly De La Cruz Orange ray wave #'d 4/25 from 1 of the 2 megas I bought. Haven't really been able to find much of this product but can't complain about the Elly.😂

Opened 3 of them and got no Skenes. Best pull was a Celebracion Imanaga insert numbered to 25. I have 5 more boxes unopened that I'll just stash away. The fact that Chrome Megas were 42 cards in the regular release but just 28 in this is a bit frustrating. It seems really hit or miss. Thanks for sharing.

@ I’d check out some of the other guys in the set. The common players/vets out of /99 and /50 are selling for $50-$100. I would say an Imanaga /25 is probably a $200-$400 card, especially with his popularity with Cubs fans and also foreigners (lots of Japanese baseball fans in the USA) and maybe even more tbh. A few Jackson Holiday’s /25 have sold for $400-$500 and Imanaga is already a proven talent. A Colt Keith /25 just went for $180 and he didn’t exactly blow the roof off his rookie year.

Not that there isn't ever any controversy surrounding PSA. I started collecting again a few months ago and the card shops in the neighboring towns refuse to submit cards to PSA Now.
