2024 Toyota Grand Highlander vs 2023 Honda Pilot - Cheaper & Better ?

The three-row SUV segment is one of the most hotly contested in the industry, and it's growing in more ways than one. the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander gets the grand naming convention not for its style or features, but because the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander offers more space for people and cargo inside its elongated body, with most of the stretch going to a roomy third row.
Before being redesigned, the Honda Pilot was one of the most boring SUVs suffering from tepid interior and bulbous looking exterior. The 2023 Honda Pilot model fixes those issues, introducing a more attractive package to better compete in its segment.

HONDA PILOT hands Down! That Bullet Proof 3.5/w10 Speed Trans spells Reliability period if it ain’t broke don’t fix it! That TOYOTA GRAND HIGHLANDER with 4 cylinder & turbo & electric motor equals to Heavier with less Tow Capacity and more Money on the Sticker & FYI you don’t see many Grand Highlander’s used as UBERs it funny how it almost looks like a copy of the 23 PILOT. Like they say Imitation is the Best Form of Flattery😊

Pilot has been Honda least reliable vehicle ahaha it’s there Civic and Accord that are reliable Toyota has been making hybrids forever. 99% of NYC yellow cab taxi fleets uses Toyota hybrids and this was 10-15 years ago when I use to drive taxis in college because they never break down and are run 24/7 Honda Pilot is a joke. Trail sport ground clearance is laughable and seats bolstering paper thin and cheap Plastic every where and that small head display unit is cheap and dumb for such a big vehicle I test drove the Honda Pilot and was it okay. Too much hard plastic for 50k+ and iffy reliability and low gas milage. The platinum hybrid max Grand Highlander for 56k and the limited for 53k is a winner. Although the telluride and palisades has a little better interior than the Toyota. Toyota has just enough luxury features and that 14 inch display, leather seats, pana roof, hybrid max engine for excellent milage and top notch reliability and resale value cannot be touch… Also, the grand Highlander looks like their smaller rav 4. They don’t need to copy Honda… 😅😅😅

When we drive on highway only, does the hybrid works or only gas engine works ? I think 2.4 liter turbo or 2.5 non-turbo with 7 people and luggage is small engine for a long trip. How many horse power when driving only on highway? Any advices or explanation. Thanks

Its kinda unfair to say toyota starting price is higher !! Yes its higher but u start with xle trim which gives alot more than hondas starting base trim

Hopefully '24, '25 will have 3.0L V6 plugin hybrid and have at least a 40mile electric range strongly competing in the segment.

Its seems the reason for using a hybrid system is to be able to use a smaller engine thats aided by the power from an electric motor. A V6 hybrid in a toyota seems unlikely to happen !

test drove the Honda it is slightly under powered next will be the GH i do have to say seat are very comfy and 9 in screen look very small and out of place the CRV and accord has a 12.9

I will not consider anything other than hybrid and the difference in price between Honda hybrid vs gas is near 10k if it had it that does not.

@@leeleuciuc6502 I would wait to see how long the new Toyota turbo engine would last ....they switch to small engine with turbo so they can sell their car in every country!! Look at Toyota lines,,,they are almost 80% turbo engine except some Lexus, Sequoia!! if their turbo engine fail, the company would be in big trouble...I think they must have had new tech to ensure turbo engine last as long as regular/v6 engine! Hope!
