still really wish they release a bench type 2nd row instead of just captain seats. because we all know the third row can't really fit 3 adults nicely lol

The tires, more specifically. It's like a body builder who skipped leg program.

my issue is that the wheel size appears undersized for the vehichle and seems asymmetrical.

@@tetetcastaneda808 noticed same. In our Innova, I used slightly bigger tires... At the expense of efficiency. Tiis-pogi? ;)

The announcement of the Zenyx was the reason we purchased our Innova V 2.8 in pearl white last year. The next Fortuner is likely getting a hybrid. It's the reason we are ordering a Fortuner GR Sport this September. Our sales representative showed us a new Alphard, but I don't want another hybrid. A HiAce GL Grandia will be next, before Toyota decides to put a hybrid as well. Those thinking of buying a hybrid, from a Prius owner. Replacement omponents don't get cheaper as the vehicle ages: replacement traction batteries, ECU, Brake Master Cylinder, Head Gasket, Electric Water Pump are prone to failure. They are easily P200k parts and labor. Those thinking of buying a used hybrid years from now should be prepared to replace these components.

As more hybrids roam the road, more parts will be available for cheaper. Why are so popular abroad then if they are so expensive?! Nobody bought the Prius because of expensive costs in the Philippines. Hopefully we see cheaper parts soon.

@brioblancaflor3662 the popularity of the hybrid doesn't make the parts cheaper. The thinking of parts being cheaper might work with conventional parts like wheel bearing assembly or replacement struts. It's not so the case with hybrid batteries, ECU, electronic water pumps etc. These are major big priced components. Ever seen the engine bay of a hybrid? The components of a hybrid engine is built in layers to fit 2 power sources, engine and electric. The plumbing of high voltage wires, the plumbing of the cooling system and the components of the engine. It's all built into layers. Layers of parts must be removed just to gain access to the electric water pump to replace. It's easily 3 days of labor. Your thinking process is wrong. It is applicable to conventional parts, not with hi-tech components. The high voltage cables and the complexity requires a certified factory mechanic. A person would also will want to have the work and parts guaranteed under warranty. A 3rd party shop is out of the question unless it's a simple oil change.

If you are a car tinkerer and want to diy issues later, I would imagine that trying to diagnose a hybrid would be harder and might require special Diagnostic tools available only at the dealer, not to mention additional labor hours because of its complexity.

@uTubeMiester People demanding more technology in their cars. People demanding hybrid. People demanding EV. People with budget meal mindset will need to look at public transportation, not car ownership. The technology at present and future is making the independent mechanic and his independent work shop extinct. Say goodbye to your cheap budget meal mechanic. These new high-tech cars with complicated drivetrains have secured a car maintenance business monopoly back in control to the manufacturers. In simple terms, they sell you a car, they can only supply parts to and maintain and they control the prices of these services to keep your car in operational condition. You have no option to take it anywhere else. It's the future of car ownership! Today's ECU's in cars are like cellphones. They have a invisible umbilical cord connected to the manufacturers to continuously update the cars software to keep it road worthy. These updates affect the drive ability and safety of the car. People don't understand how the car they buy today is only partially owned by the buyer. The company still has full control and 24 hour access to your cars even the on board cameras. They see you. They have full access to the cars' telemetry in an accident to protect themselves from liability. I'm buying the cars now that are still umbilical cord free. I advice people to buy them if you have the financial capability to do so.
