If Toyota made it lithium-ion and stay with that price sigurado waiting line would be super long but of course that's dreaming, anyways, with paddle shifters, 16 to 19kpl, 23 on the highway, captain seats, 186hp. sulit na din. Nice review Boss Vince.

It would be nice if TMP releases a Zenix variant with bench seats at the second row.

Agree bro like the exterior and interior design of the zenix hybrid is good but that 2nd row captain seat is just not it for we are 7 people and i dont think 3 people at the 3rd row will fit my family. This will just be a 6 seater car.

Most hybrids today don't have full size spare tires on account of the battery taking up space. The zenix does. You have to point this out, stress the advantage.

Trimmed down na naman. yung Q variant sa Thai/Indonesia may pano sunroof na. Dito ang mahal na nga wala pa rin. Hehe.. I feel like it’s time to avoid Toyotas nowadays, dahil sobra na rin ang greed ng local distributors/dealers. Ang ibang brands 6 months to 12 months na interval ng maitenance sila 3 months pa rin. Haha.. I know it depends on the oil pero tatakutin ka sa warranty. Not to mention they’re way overpriced for the quality/feature they offer. Although TNGA is the best thing Toyota did in recent times. But that’s about it.

I'm not a fan of the captains chair and CVT, but the wheels are lovely. I hope they'll also bring the 8 seater innova to maintain the spirit of the innova badge, just like in the indonesian market.

Sa Pinas, we always seem to get the raw end of the deal. With the hybrid variant we get nickel hydride battery whereas the rest gets lithium ion, we get the FWD instead of the 4WD, then the CVT instead of the eCVT, Then often with lower engine displacement. Tapos mas mahal pa! Compare it to other countries in Asia and other car brands it's across the board.
@mark_u
@mark_u 3 ай бұрын
All Innova Zenix/Hycross models around the world are FWD-only and have the NiMH battery, which Toyota is says is better suited to "hot weather conditions," shared by the countries where this vehicle is sold in. All Toyota hybrids also use an eCVT, which automotive journalists often fail to mention correctly. Only part we're getting the short end of the stick is that Toyota isn't offering 8 seats with the hybrid.

It would be hard for Toyota Phil to get rid of their diesel engine cars since we brought cars not all for personal use but for public utilities as well and more so our public roads are prone to floods. Thus, I think electric vehicles or hybrid cars would be a challenge here to be durable and reliable like the old fashion diesel engine cars.

I will tell you why. They put no sunroof due to the pricing if they actually put a sunroof. It would cost 2m+ if there was a sunroof. And that would cost way too expensive for an Innova in the Philippines.

Is it true the AC comes from the electric battery, at least when it's not empty? At least for the Prius it is so I am not sure if Toyota's US hybrid tech shares the same hybrid architecture as Toyota's ASEAN hybrids. Thanks for the clarification.

EV users now in china are finding out that replacing their car battery cost more than the car itself since ev's in china devalue much lower than their gas counterpart. Price range from P300K to up to P1.8M! that's really crazy! Question is, how much would it cost to replace the battery of the Zenix after 5~8 years or a certain km range?

I liked Toyota but it’s really tough the defend them now. They’re really competitive abroad.. I mean just look at their cars there. there’s something really wrong with Toyota Motors Philippines I guess. Sobrang mahal, pero sobrang baba ng offering. When you inspect the Chinese brands in the showrooms and then move over to the Japanese brands like to toyota , the japanese looks bone dry. However, since you can only afford one you are hesitant to gamble on the Chinese brand. Maybe in 5 years time , China will rule the market. Supply chain for parts and after sales support will stabilize. For now pass muna. Kahit nakakatemp na.

@@stephena3900 Lithium Ion can hold more energy, but is very sensitive to temperature and it’s hasn’t been around that long to prove its long term durability. Ni-MH has proven reliability. And Toyota is all about that. Hence there’s nothing wrong with them using Ni-MH. IMO it’s more suitable for Philippine climate.

Still skeptical about these hybrids in the long term because you're now maintaining 2 engines
@troy5568
@troy5568 4 ай бұрын
The electric battery engine will not need much maintenancing, if at all, aside from keeping the battery safe and secured. Besides, due to hybrid cars' regenerative braking capabilities, you are putting less wear and tear on your brakes, which further prolongs its lifespan, and requiring less maintenance as well.

Still skeptical if in the US and Canadian market most of their Toyota hybrids last for 10 plus years?
@migzc3604
@migzc3604 3 ай бұрын
The only thing you need to maintain on your battery is the fan filter. Keep it clean and unobstructed, and you’re good to go. Old gen Priuses in the US can easily reach 300k miles before the battery may start to have problems. Take note, “MAY”. So as long as you maintain it, it’ll last a very long time. The car already paid for itself in terms of gas savings.
