Just got a 2024 Prius Prime XSE a little while ago and am very happy with it so far. Breaking in the gas engine at the moment, then change the oil at around 700 miles and then good to go. It is lower in the driver's seat than a normal car. It handles well. Charges easy using a 120 volt outlet. The enhanced cruise control works well enough . So glad I didn't buy a Tesla.

Mustard yellow looks great on the Prius. Wish we got that color down in the states.

I can’t even find a loaded Prius without insane markups in Alberta

I used to have a Mazda 3 - very nice and reliable but the Prius is on a whole different level. Pricewise too though...

Prius for fuel savings. Mazda 3 for a fun drive. Get them both.😅

I tested both in person, Prius trunk is very disappointing at best, it's too shallow to be practical. Also, Prius has no spare tire and tire size is uncommon for North America. Insurance for Prius is also significantly higher and will offset the fuel savings of a normal driver. Not to mention that Prius is both a lot more expensive and is heavily marked up. It's safety score is not as good as Mazda 3 either. So unless you work for Uber and lift and your ft job is driving, Mazda 3 is the better choice; I prefer sedan. In terms of driving, I loved both.

Why won't Mazda put a hybrid in the Mazda 3?
@JustinPritchard4 ай бұрын
They have relatively long model cycles, And as a company, I've overheard their engineers mention that they tend to work on sort of one thing at a time. I'd imagine that now since the current generation Mazda 3 has been on sale for about 6 years, they're likely holding off until the next generation car to launch a hybrid engine. We are seeing them slowly. Start to introduce hybrids in other models too. Imagine it won't be long!

Its a small company - whatever hybrid they have they buy from toyota anyway.... exceptions are their weird wankel hybrids

Mazda has the Skyactiv-X technology but you don't have it in America, you wouldn't like it because of the way it delivers power. It's 2L 186 HP and 240 of torque.
