….I live in Florida, USA. Ordered one January 2023, got in October 2023 (nine months). Unfortunately I ordered AWD and didn’t know the pitfalls of AWD as opposed to FWD (front wheel drive). Mainly, AWD needs to have equal circumference tires or your “gears” can be destroyed, so you may have to buy 4 tires when just one tire is bad. Secondly, AWD require special towing as opposed to a FWD. I heard Canadians may have to wait many years. Some countries I hear get the much cheaper. I reordered a FWD sienna with the same dealership. The salesman wasn’t very happy, but did place my order. They had to finagle the AWD deal.

@@Axevertis ……I didn’t add the following information: (1), My hometown Toyota refused to order a sienna for me. I had to drive 100 miles away to another Toyota dealership who would order it for me at MSRP, but required me to have a stupid add on package for $2,000.00. (2), When I initially order the Sienna the salesman also said it could take 1 to 2 years with no promises at even that (3), when I was finally allocated I was actually modifying another order coming in before it was built. The van was going to be red but they changed the color to white like I wanted. They also made me get the $1,400.00 infotainment video screen if I wanted to get the 1500 watt/120 volt inverter, even though the van wasn’t built yet. When I ordered it I wasn’t required to get the infotainment screen that hangs from the roof (4), Toyota May be playing these games to get more profit. I also heard that the slowdown is due to battery materials, if I remember correctly. I have watched over 100 sienna KZbin videos to prepare myself for them. I heard other countries get them faster (5), Maybe Toyota doesn’t want to look bad going to Canada because those batteries don’t perform as good in cold weather I believe (6), I want to use my for business use so I ordered a Platinum trim with every possible feature except tow bar. Which included AWD, ottomans, digital review mirror, dash cam etc (Recall this took 9 months to get in)

It’s not a one to two year wait. We just ordered ours yesterday and today is January 22. Our van will be here in March.

Toyota must redesign the seats, Front, middle and third row all are cheap, flimsy, light, shoddy and extremely uncomfortable for even short trips. The 3rd row seats actually bounce up and down while driving forcing drivers to stop and raise the seats to seating position (2021 4th Generation Toyota Sienna Hybrid LE). Another annoying thing is the useless cargo lamp which is very dim. The rear lamp assemblies are good looking but lack of adequate illumination in LE and XLE trims, which is a safety concern because visibility issue for drivers behind a 4th Generation Toyota Sienna LE, XLE. Limited and Platinum trims full illumination taillight assemblies. I have the 2005 Toyota Sienna (2nd generation) seats are 100% better in quality, design and comfort. Fabrics are soft, smooth and durable velour. All seats include 2nd row middle seat are thickly padded, wide, supportive. 3rd row folding down flat and stayed securely without bouncing up and down.

Those wheels are chrome look plastic hub caps. The infotainment system is dated. There is no spare tire. Second row seats are not removable. There are no vehicles available to purchase. Good luck!

…I would say essentially true. I ordered one in the USA Florida, took 9 months. In order to test drive one, I had to drive 125 miles to test drive a used one. No new ones available in 2023 at the time.
