I love my push attacks and for the b tier evicerator the push attack has insane horde clear and combos very well, i find its actually much more fluid than the overhead heavy strike

Was looking for this, using a light attack after the push attack feels faster with the OG eviscerator for horde clearing than using the light attacks on the newer one. Still use them both, cutting through hordes with the biggest chainsword you can wield is always a blast

It tends to rate higher on lists like this yes but I think this list also considers ease of use as part of the evaluation. It takes more skill to use than some other weapons but if you know how to do that it's great. You horde control more than horde clear, unless you keep bashing over time. It helps the team to not be overrun when a horde comes rushing at you because you can stop them especially if you hold a choke point and even if you get surrounded you can clear a surface to base a structured defense on. But it means it also woks best with a proper team where you complement each others' role and weapon choices, not the random lobby most tend to play. Of course much the same can he said for hammers as well. Horde handling with the Crusher is better though imho.

Crusher does not fulfill the same roll as the thunder hammers. THs are currently niche boss killers that struggle in hordes. Crusher is the king of control, and is at least A tier. High attack speed, high impact, decent finesse means it absolutely minces mixed hordes with blazing piety. It also has the great benefit of not having a braindead attack combo, so is more engaging to use than the light attack or heavy attack spam weapons.

Knife is the best melee weapon in the game, full stop, for every non-ogryn class in the game and it functions the best on zealot of the 3 of them due to node synergy. Also the crusher is probably the most underrated weapon in the game, it's not S tier but it's a solid A+ you can stunlock entire hordes of elites and specials with a Momentum build.

I'm just starting to explore the Mk4 Chainaxe as I've slept on it since launch and I find like it a lot even if it has lower horde clear than I'd like. I did try the Mk 9 a bit but never built one up properly. Seeing this list put the Mk 9 in S tier I'll go back and give it another try as well. :) If I could have one wish about Chainaxes it would be to get one that's 2-handed like the ones the Maulers have. That would be cool, maybe it'd work a bit like a meld of the Thunder Hammer moveset but also work like the current Chainaxes. Players would just love this I think. It'd look really badass too.

I just love the loner stealth zealot with the knife that keeps dumping aggro on the rest of their team and then wondering why they have to keep clutching the game. Even better, when they smugly proclaim that you need to , "Git Gud", in the chat. Most of these players are hitting stealth, running out of coherency to get their loner buffs, and then start attacking a small group of Poxwalkers off in a far off corner somewhere. Whereas instead they should be back stabbing a Specialist or a group of Elites pinning down their teammates; literally ZERO tactical awareness whatsoever.

the crusher is really good at crowd control but you're right it cant really handle crushers and bulwarks as well after they got buffed. But it is still doable, spamming light specials will stagger everything, including knocking back bulwark shields, and you can stunlock whole hordes as long as you have the attack speed. Playstyle-wise activating the special is always good if you have time, and its heavy and light strikedowns deal the best damage especially on weakspots, so generally use a combo of strikedowns and light specials just depending on how many enemies you have

rashad is faster than the antax if the finesse stat is above 50% (which it will be on a 370+ roll) also means the rashad gets bonus critical damage when the antax does not, only downside is the push attack. And you'd be taking brutal momentum on both axes anyway, the antax is still good though.

The heavy swords are insane! The MK7 HS is a sidegrade to the MK15 Evis, trading the boss DPS and crusher killing potential on the evis for the best ad clear and elite killing in the game

Mk 2 eviscerator is so under rated. Just shove attack, m1, shove attack, m1, shove attack, m1. Wipes entire combat sections on its own and is a great horde clear if you wanna specialize heavily into burst dmg guns. S tier in my opinion, much better than the mk 15.

Yeah that was my major sticking point with your list. The Rashad needs Brutal Momentum more than the Antax does, because it has the Finesse stat instead of Cleave Targets. But with BM it seems to outperform the Antax by a decent margin.

Im just watching the video now, classic look at comments first degenerate here. Before even watching it Rashad should be an S or minimum A tier weapon IMO! Good to see the asterisk in the comments tho haha, i'll keep it in mind while watching` edit: overall good points but wrong about a few specific. Big one being the combat axes as mentioned which has been acknowleded. To be clear Rashad is better than the antax, i would stick rashad as an S tier weapon personally, but A for rashad and antax right below it (its marginally worse, still pretty good).

​@@TheRealAyeeZee Ya, you're limited by your plasteel and rng i get it. A rashad with Headtaker + brutal Momentum is insane, one of the best weapons in the game and overall good at everything imo. I perk it out with 25% maniac/flak as usual. My previous comment was a bit rushed, i fucked it up. I was saying personally I think Rashad is an easy S tier spot, with Antax close behind in A. But both in A with Rashad ahead of it would be acceptable too depending on your personal taste. The reason rashad is better than antax is it gets the "finesse" modifier instead of "cleave". Finesse increases its crit/weakspot dmg and attack speed over the antax. With brutal momentum + headtaker it can kill 4-5 bruisers in a single clean swing with light attacks to the head level. It crushes hordes and weak enemies, while also being good at armored enemies with the 2h overheads. So bc its already got good cleave, the "cleave" stat on the Antax is useless, Finesse is better. They're mostly identical minus the special atk (which isnt very good either way) outside of this. Rashad has better armor dmg profiles slightly too. So while the antax is a fine weapon, the rashad outclasses it cleanly. Also a key note of these weapons - its odd but heavy attacks do LESS DAMAGE than light attacks to maniac. Meaning if you are using overhead heavy attacks against: Naked Ragers, Mutants, Trappers, both flamers - you are NUKING your dps (slower attacks and less dmg per hit combined). Make sure with combat axes you rewire your brain to ALWAYS LIGHT SPAM those enemies. Mutie and rager waves are the biggest ones. This is a noticeable difference in breakpoint/kill speed on these enemies and is a big reason I find some people feel 'meh' on the weapon. Its damage tanks if you heavy attack these targets, which most people are prone to do naturally due to their high hp pool + wanting to stagger flamers/trappers/ragers. (regular flamers also count as maniac, even tho they wear flak armor. Weird thing to remember) Sorry for long comment, let me know if this helps. I think its worth it to devote some plasteel to roll a proper Brutal Momentum + headtaker Rashad on either a zealot or veteran (weapon specialist build) and see how much it crushes!

I've never seen a stealth zealot and I'd like to see one of them... Personally I use the knife as a zealot defender I have a bleed build 95% Crit chances and use the cross every 15-20 sec work great in max difficulty

I keep using off-meta weapons and getting away with it. I've used the chainsword for the first 6 months of the game when it was 'trash', then switched to the Cruxis for the rest. It's not that bad at hordes, it's more of a crowd control weapon than horde clearing, just takes a little bit longer. Sure could use a buff, I'd put it at B, if you know what you're doing. Otherwise, it's extremely slow (if you do only heavy attacks as I do), and the timing is a bit off.

stealth and knife? weird i normally just dash with fury of faithful and kill the gunners before they have a chance to pick up their gun and start shooting in the first place. maybe I'm playing wrong idk, i never really liked the stealth gameplay, i want to kill stuff and be a front line tank, need to defined my squishy psykters and veterans. stealth does not help me do this at all i haven't used the crusher in ages, no idea if it was changed but, last i remember it's special attack would stun every single enemy in the game, you could kind of just chain stun a group of crushers repeatedly. the gameplay of it was very dumb, just special, then attack, special then attack, it never did amazing damage but that it provided was just, being able to cc anything in the game, at that point ranged enemies become the scariest thing since your killing so slow, it's mainly a support weapon of sorts, and you cant kill quick enough to advance to the gunners in the back. i don't love the weapon but i had some fun with it back in the day, boring weapon to play with tho after a while that stealth hammer setup is sick btw, i really need to try that out, i can see a single target melee weapon like that working pretty well in stealth, that's kind of nuts to be honest,
