2024 United States Grand Prix: Preview and Predictions

F1 is back from its autumn break and back at the Circuit of the Americas for the 19th race of the season. But who will come out on top at Austin? Another win for Lando Norris? Max Verstappen back on the top step? Or could we see a surprise? In this week’s preview, I take a look at the track, run through all the usual stats and make some predictions. Plus, special liveries for Alpine and McLaren, Haas bring upgrades and Liam Lawson returns.

I really hope they do something about the four-week break. I can take one, but not two. Seriously, I think like it was the end of the season already. Especially when a month ago, it was 30 degrees Celsius outside and now it's barely 15. And now it's triple-header, three-week break, triple header. Mad calendar, really. At least there is a potential title fight this year, though I really doubt anything will come from it.

It really is a frustrating stop/start end to the season! Thankfully, the breaks don't feature on next year's calendar - apart from the usual summer break, of course...oh, and a random 3 week break after Silverstone and just before the summer shutdown. Weird.

Predictions this year are not easy! It seems that the top 4 teams shift every weekend, so getting all of your predictions is likely not possible. Example: Sainz passing Norris on the last lap of the Sprint? I would have said "impossible" before the Sprint race.

Hey Sean, Sean, former United States Grand Prix viewer here. I know this is the 19th race taking place here in Circuit of the Americas. I know Formula One is back from its Autumn break. But I decided not to show up watching on the streaming service or on live TV. Wow those who is stoked for another round of Circuit of the Americas, I decided that I'm not going to follow along.
