Just a 3-3500 stall and 4.10s with slicks will be worth a full second or more, your 60 foot improvement will be DRAMATIC. And it will allow you to really run some aggressive cam profiles and induction setups without making it a pig out of the hole. Im excited to see the finished product.

The stall converter has been a big detriment this whole time for sure! The 2,200 stall was not letting the engine to get into its power band at all making a fairly laboring launch, it will be a whole new car basically this summer 😃 And I can't wait either! Should be a whole lot more like my old cutlass was 😁👍

I've had a set of those cheap stainless tri y's in my '66 mustang for about 9 years, they fit great and have held up fantastic. I just built a new 302 with afr heads for my car, I'll be using the tri y's on the new engine. Love the channel

You need a heater for the garage

@@firepinto especially since it is un-insulated and I would be heating all 12 of the other garages up along with mine 😅

I'm curious how the 4.10s will be. I have 3.55s in my Pintos and traction is rough. I considered 4.10s but I am sure it would hurt traction. Keep us posted ocne you try them. You might want a spool or limited slip rather than the welded gears though.

I have some slicks to go along with them lol

@newguysgarage6802 Doing good here, and I have to find tires and wheels also for NNN. As soon as the weather breaks, I will be elbows deep in my car fixing things.

What if you put a 9in slick 30/31 tall
@newguysgarage6802 Жыл бұрын
Couldn't fit the 31" on the car, too tall lol Max is about 28" 🙂

I've had a lot of the 64/65 Mustang cars , suprising not using 9in rear
@newguysgarage6802 Жыл бұрын
@@williamrose8944 9in is just an 8in that takes more power to turn lol With such a light car the 8in will hold up just fine so why put in the bigger rear end that takes away more power? 😁
