"When a family member undergoes immigration procedures at the same time, they can register as accompanying family members in the account of the representative and create QR Codes for the accompanying family members in one account. If family members cannot enter and leave the country at the same time, we ask that each family member create an account and be prepared to display the QR code on their own smartphone or other device. This is to avoid any inconvenience to family members when they are separated in the airport. Family members are defined as "spouse, lineal descendants, lineal descendants, and relatives who are considered to be in an equivalent position."

In this case, please make sure you select the correct name for each member under the QR code screen, then screenshot it with their individual QR code, and you just send to each family member. Each member must have their own screenshot QR code. Show the screenshot QR code during the immigration checkpoint.

Hi, you only need to register for entry to Japan. In terms of how long, you just need to input the duration of stay.

It can be months ahead to just few days, as long you have your flight and accommodation information that are required to input into the system. But i would recommend just 2 weeks ahead as most of the information will be more or least confirmed. And double check again just few days before flight.

Hello.. i already registered Visit Japan Web with 1 account for me n my family member.. at last i got only 1 QR code immigration n custom declaration for me n my family member.. is it correct? or each of my family have to get 1 QR Code for them?

Each individual family members should get their own QR Code. Check whether you have registered each members when you select the applicant name from the drop down menu in the entry/return procedure page. Once everyone is registered, you can select each member name inside the display QR Code dropdown menu.

Hey i will be going to japan this november around mid november, i will have a domestic flight heading to fukuoka after arriving in haneda on 8.55 am. Should i book my domestic flight to fukuoka with departure time on 11 am or 12 pm or 13 pm? Will that be enough time for immigration process? Thank you.

If i am in this situation, i will booked the 1200 flight, (or 1300 if not in a rush) as it give me enough time and i don't need to rush, in the same Haneda airport. Because it really depend whether there are many passengers on the arrival plane or other passengers arriving on that day. As it might affect the immigration process. Waiting to get your luggage is another thing to factor in. After immigration, at departure hall to Fukuoka, you need to queue to check-in your luggage again. It's better to have enough time than limited time.

You don't have to use the tax free function if you don't want to, you don't have to pay for using this function. It just act the same way when you visit a tax free shop, instead of showing your passport, you can just show the tax free function in your mobile.

Usually if traveling with family members, i would recommend just using one account, as it save each member time for entering the same information for Japan accommodation and etc... Important thing to take note is, "each member MUST have their own individual QR code with them". Because most people would mistakenly thought that the main account QR code is used for all, "that's wrong". After registering for each member information, remember to change the name to each member and register their own immigration and custom declaration section, then they will have their own QR code. After that, take a screenshot of the QR code and save it in their own mobile and use it during their own immigration process. In the event where some family member might travel to Japan again separately, i would recommend them to register their own account this time round, as all the information will be saved and can be used for future trip.

As long you have your flight and accommodation details, you can do the registration. No actually limit, but its alway better to re-check again few days before your actual flight, to ensure theres no changes. Although i would recommend 1-2 weeks before actual flight.

It depend on whether you are a citizen or with re-entry permit, some steps will be omitted. You can just follow through the steps when present to you. For embarkation section, just enter where you embark from. Immigration clearance (foreigner entry record) registration is not required for Japanese or those with re-entry permit.

No, each family members will have their own QR Code. Once you have done with your own registration and got your QR code. Under the "Applicant" drop down menu, select your other family member names and help them register their "Immigration clearance and custom declaration" section. Once registered, each of them will get their own QR code. You need to repeat the steps for each family members. You can check whether each members have their own QR code by selecting the "Immigration clearance and custom declaration" section, under the name drop down menu, select the family member name.

Hi, im not 100%, but as long you follow what the passport indicate, it should be ok, as there is the proof if any of the officer ask during immigration. If there's a blank under the surname in your passport, just follow it as blank.

For the tax-free registration, I do fail a few times too, before i succeeded. Might be the system issue, or try select the switch cameras text as shown in the video. But i do try it a few times too.

It might be the system issue, when using 1 account for VISA. You can try registering your own Visit Japan Web account separately.

Hi, if don't have any digital devices, i would recommend just fill out their paper immigration forms instead. You still can enter Japan using the paper method, Visit Japan Web is only another fast option for the digital world. You can get the form during your flight or upon arrival near the immigration checkpoint.
