I say again: To believe that you are going to win is straight up delusional. To believe that you have a good chance to do so (at big events) usually is also delusional except if you're a top 5 player. How about you being able to draw some confidence from the self-belief that you CAN win, even if the odds are stacked against you, and you just being able to be honest and truthful about not having great odds, but at least having SOME odds because you now how well you can play when you're at your best, and drawing some confidence from that. It's not always necessarily a pick between being confident yet totally delusional or not confident yet realistic. If it were, I'd rather be realistic yet not confident than delusionally confident. I value truthfulness higher than that

Fellow Alcaraz fans- I understand where you are coming from, but don't take others not saying his name as them undermining him. At this point no one should be undermining him, he's just won two slams back to back. There's no need to explicitly say he's the favourite for every tournament he enters because at this point it's (for the lack of a better word) redundant. And his video is about hardcourt. No matter how overhyped Sinner is, his record on hard court for the last year or so has been close to flawless he already has 3 titles on the surface (2 big and a 500), he is the best player on the surface at the moment (it pains me so much to admit that). So it's understandable that he is more likely to get picked over Alcaraz. But again, that doesn't mean Carlos is being underestimated, he's won US Open before and has won two slams back to back, so it won't be a surprise if he wins again.
