I agree with Derek about what differs from amateur and pro. The mindset towards recovery. Some people have it naturally, most don’t. But i think that is a strategy worth working for.

I am aware you are talking about smart recovert shots, but long term mental recovery is my biggest obstacle, by far. As a local I play Alviken weekly and after two bad throws on hole 3, my mental game is down the drain. Hole 4,5,6 may recover it somehow but hole 7,8,9 usually completes the job of fully breaking my spirit for the rest of the round. 😢 J@vla träd!

@@Ejohrik well, no i’m not talking about the shots itself, which are important for the outcome ofcourse. But i’m talking about mental recovery during play and after bad shots for example. To leave that behind and move forward. I am well aware about hard gaps, difficult routes and almost impossible holes. But the gift of smart recovery is as important as skills i would say. Locals not used to spectating. Many local players like me often play casually with the Swärd family and players of similar skill so we might not always have that 'spectator mindset', though of course we try not to be in then way. There are no OBs lines to stand behind either since OB usually means water or rock walls.
